This community event is all about raising funds for women in Corona, Norco, Eastvale, and surrounding areas who are battling breast and gynecologic cancers.

This isn't just any walk—it's a community celebration! We’re honoring survivors, supporting those currently fighting cancer, and remembering those we've lost.

Join us for an unforgettable day of purpose, celebration, and community as we host our 11th Annual Combat Cancer Walk on October 17, 2026 at The Shops at Dos Lagos 2780 Cabot Drive, Corona, CA 92883!


What started in 2015 as a small grassroots effort has now grown into a powerful local movement. Since launching this event, proceeds from the walk have allowed us to grant OVER $760,000 DOLLARS to local women battling breast and gynecological cancer in Corona, Norco, Eastvale, and surrounding communities. But this event is about more than walking — it’s about connection. It’s about creating space where survivors, supporters, friends, families, and neighbors can come together to celebrate life, honor those we’ve lost, and stand with those still fighting.
Your participation, sponsorship, or donation isn’t just a gesture — it directly empowers women facing one of the most difficult battles of their lives.

   Q: What is the date and time of the cancer walk?  

A: Combat Cancer Walk takes place on Saturday, October 17th 

 

  Q: Where is the event being held?

A: The event will be held at The Shops at Dos Lagos located at 2780 Cabot Drive, Corona

 

Q: What is the schedule of events?

A: Event opens at 7 am for registration and festivities ~ Ceremony begins at 8 am ~ Walk kicks off at 8:30 am

 

  Q: How long is the walk?  

A: The walk is approximately 3 miles around The Shops at Dos Lagos and the lake, you can complete as much as you are comfortable with. 

 

Registration

  Q: How can I register for the walk?

A: You can register online, at one of our pre-registration events or on the day of the event at the registration booth.

 

  Q: Is there a registration fee?

A: Yes, there is a registration fee of $25 for ages 13+ and $10 for ages 8-12. Children 7 and under and breast or gynecological cancer survivors walk free.

 

  Q: Can I register on the day of the event?

A: Yes, on-site registration will be available starting at 7 AM.

 

  Q: I want to buy an event shirt, but shirt sales have ended. Can I still buy one?

A: Shirts will be available to purchase at our pre-registration events and on event day. 

 

  Q: Can I pick up my shirt and wrist band before the event so I don't have to wait in line?

A: Yes, we have 2 pre-registration events for your convenience. Click HERE for more info. 

 

Q: Will my event shirt be mailed to me if I can’t attend the event?

A: Unfortunately, if you can’t pick up your event shirt at one of the pre-registration dates or at the event, we cannot hold it or ship it to you.

 

Q: If I can’t attend, can I have a refund?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for registration or event shirts. If you can’t attend, those funds will be considered a donation.

 

Participation

  Q: Who can participate in the walk?

A: The walk is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.

 

  Q: Can I run instead of walk?

A: Yes, participants can choose to walk or run the route

 

  Q: Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed on the walk?  

A: Yes, strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.

 

  Q: Can I bring my dog? 

A: Yes, well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to join the walk.

 

Fundraising

  Q: Where do the funds raised go?

A: All funds raised benefit Support Sisterz, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to local women battling breast and gynecological cancer.

 

  Q: How can I donate if I can't participate in the walk? 

A: Donations can be made by clicking the donate link on this site, at our website supportsisterz.org or mailed P.O. BOX 6841 Norco, CA. 92860

 

  Q: Can I fundraise as part of a team?  

A: Yes, you can create or join a fundraising team when you register.

 

Day of the Event

  Q: What should I bring to the event?

A: Bring comfortable walking shoes, water, sunscreen, and any personal items you may need. Don't forget your registration confirmation if you registered online.

 

  Q: What time should I arrive?

A: It's recommended to arrive at 7 AM to allow time for parking and check-in so you can take advantage of all this event has to offer. 

 

  Q: Will there be refreshments available?

A: Yes, there will be water stations and light refreshments available for participants. There will also be food vendors with food to purchase.

A: Yes, there is ample free parking available at the venue.

 

  Q: Is there handicap parking?

A: Yes, this event is at a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking

A: The event will take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Whether you’re walking for yourself, someone you love, or to support the cause, your leadership plays a key role in helping us grant direct support to women battling breast and gynecological cancer in our community.

  • Choose a creative team name, invite your troops and start fundraising
  • Create your own website where you can share goals, pictures, inspiration and fundraising ideas
  • Share the link by text, email or Facebook to invite others to join
  • Earn badges for individual and team achievements
 
🏆 Team Awards & Recognition
Your team has a chance to win in the following categories:

🏅 Winners in each category will be awarded a certificate and will be invited to record a short video to be featured on our website and social media—sharing your story, your team’s name, and what drives your commitment to the cause.
 
📦 Team Check-In
To streamline the process:
  •   Please designate one person to check in your team, turn in funds raised and pick up event shirts and wrist bands
     •  There are two check-in dates for your convenience:
         ° Saturday, October 10th from 10AM to 1 PM
         ° Thursday, October 15th from 4 to 7 PM
 
🗓️ Important Deadline for Awards
  • To qualify for award consideration:
      •Deadline is 10/15/26
        ° All team members must be registered online or in person to qualify for “Largest Team”
        ° Funds must be turned in and counted to qualify for “Top Fundraising Team”
 
💰 Sponsorship Credit for Teams
Teams that help secure event sponsors will receive credit toward their total funds raised.
If your team brings in a sponsor:
  • You’ll be recognized with a custom mile marker sign along the walk route featuring the sponsor’s logo and your team’s name or logo.

Team captains will be invited to join virtual info sessions (dates TBD) to:
  • Learn fundraising tips
  • Ask questions
  • Hear event updates

🎨 Team Contest – Bring the Spirit!
Teams are encouraged to create a Spirit Stick to bring to the event!

What’s a Spirit Stick?
A spirit stick is a fun and creative way for your team to stand out and stay connected during the walk! It’s something you carry—like a decorated pole, sign, or flag—that shows off your team’s personality and helps teammates find each other and help you stand out in the crowd.
  • Decorate it however you want:
      •   Spirit Sticks can reflect your team name, honoree, or theme
      •  Use colors, photos, flags, lights—anything goes
  • There will be a contest for Best Spirit Stick
     • Take a team photo showing off your team spirit
     • Post online and tag @supportsisterz and @combatcancerwalk
