12th Annual Madeira Beach Sunset 5K
Presented by the City of Madeira Beach and Hooters John’s Pass

Lace up and hit the sand for the 12th Annual Madeira Beach Sunset 5K on June 26, 2026. This chip-timed race begins and ends at John’s Pass Park and takes place entirely on the beach, offering scenic shoreline views as you run, jog, or walk your way through the course.

This is an open course, so participants should be aware of beachgoers along the route.

The race is limited to 350 participants, so be sure to register early before it sells out.

 
Registration Includes:
• Chip-timed race entry
• Choice of a race-themed beach towel or race socks
• Finisher medal
• Post-race party access with 1 food ticket + 2 drink tickets

 
Race Day Schedule:
5:00 PM – Arrival and Registration Opens
6:10 PM – Pre-Race Stretch
6:30 PM – 5K Start
7:45 PM – Course Closes
7:15 PM – 9:00 PM – Post-Race Party at Hooters John’s Pass

Runner Information

Check In : Begins at 5:00pm - Address is 12850 Gulf Ln - John's Pass Park Pavilion - At check in, you will be picking up your bib, towel or socks, and wristbands for the food and drink at the post race party.

Parking : Lots available at 12850 Gulf Ln (John's Pass Park), 12962 Gulf Blvd (130th Ave Lot), 13200 Gulf Blvd (132nd Ave Lot) and anywhere in John's Pass Village. There are numerous private lots in the area as well but are much more expensive. Parking at John's Pass Park, 130th Ave, and 132nd Ave will be free from 5pm - 9pm. Course : Race begins at 6:30pm. The run will take place on the sand beginning at John's Pass Park and turning around North of the park at the half way point. It is an OPEN COURSE so please be aware of your surroundings at all times. The race will take place rain or shine as long as there is no lightning or other dangerous weather in the area. 

Post Race Party & Awards : Post race party will take place at Hooter's in John's Pass. Boneless wings and beer will be provided for the runners. We will also look to recognize the top runner in each age group and overall.
