2026 Biz Dash 5K presented by World Wide Technology

The 11th Annual Biz Dash 5K presented by World Wide Technology returns this spring to Energizer Park on Thursday, May 7th in Downtown St. Louis! The Spectrum Team Village will be open from 5-9pm. The 5K is tentatively scheduled to start at 7pm. 

Promote health and wellness in the workplace and encourage everyone to get outside and be active. Known as "St. Louis' Healthiest Happy Hour," the Biz Dash combines fitness, team bonding, and fun!  All levels of runners and walkers are encouraged to participate for their “company team.” If your business isn’t involved, you can register on the Sports Foundation team (general public) and join in the fun!

The Biz Dash is St. Louis’ version of the corporate run which has become widely popular in communities across the country. The heart of the event is to bring our community together and promote a healthy lifestyle. Studies have shown that the healthier (and happier) the employee, the more productive they are in the workplace, attributing to a higher-achieving organization. The Biz Dash is all about inclusion, so everyone from your office is encouraged to get involved no matter their fitness level. 

The Biz Dash 5K was created in 2016 and is produced by the St. Louis Sports Commission.

Through several innovative programs and platforms, the St. Louis Sports Foundation – the 501(c)(3) charitable affiliate of the St. Louis Sports Commission – promotes sportsmanship in the community and fosters a culture of kindness, respect, civility and selflessness. The Foundation also serves as the umbrella organization for the Sports Commission’s Olympic Legacy initiative, which aims to positively impact St. Louis through its opportunities as an Olympic City. What is the cost to register for the event?

An individual race registration costs $45.  Starting April 15, the registration cost will be $50.  Race registration closes on Wednesday, April 29 at noon. Late registrations will not be accepted.

 

Does a company have to pay for their participants?
No, it is free to create a company team. During team creation, Team Captains can set up payment with one of three options:

• Employees pay their own entry fee (at no cost to the company).
• Company pays for a percentage of each entry fee. The remainder is covered by each individual employee.
• Company pays for 100% of entry fees. Team Captains will have access to a “Team Invoice” feature through their Team Captain home page to view a running balance for their Company Team. Team Invoices will be sent out Thursday, May 9 to all Team Captains who have not yet paid for their team.
   

When is the registration deadline?
Registration closes at Noon on Wednesday, April 29. Late registrations will not be accepted.

 

Is race day registration offered?
There is no race day registration. All participants must pre-register online by the deadline above.

 

Are race bibs transferable?
No. Participants will receive a race bib assigned to them.

 

Are there refunds on registration?
This race does not issue refunds or race entry transfers.

 

Can I register if my company is not involved?
Yes! You will just need to join the “Sports Foundation Team” on the registration page. The password is “stlsports.” This team is available to the general public for any individual participants.

 

Is there a limit as to how many people can register for each Company Team?
No, companies can have an unlimited number of participants represent their Company Teams.

 

Is the race timed?

Yes, this race is professionally chip-timed by Big River Race Management.  All results will be posted on stlbizdash.com. 

 

Can family and/or friends participate on a Company Team?
Family and/or friends may be included on Company Teams if designated during registration, but they will not be eligible for team scoring. Team Captains can make this option available for their team during team creation. All runners will be able to view their individual times.

 

What is your child policy?
Children 3 years old and under are free and do not need to be registered.

Who is eligible for the CEO Challenge?
The HBM Holdings CEO Challenge is available to companies with 5 or more full-time employees. It will be scored according to individual chip time (in male and female categories). A CEO Challenge participant must have an Executive or C-Suite Title at their company in order to be eligible. This category welcomes both runners and walkers! Please be sure they are registered for the event by joining your Company Team. Team Captains will be asked a custom question at the time of team creation on whether they would like to include someone in the HBM Holdings CEO Challenge.

 

Can I walk or jog the race if I am not competitive?
Certainly! Anyone who is physically able to complete a 5K (3.1 miles) is encouraged to participate. We encourage all levels of runners and walkers.

 

Does the Biz Dash 5K have a beneficiary?
Yes, it benefits the St. Louis Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable affiliate. The Foundation implements programs and activities that promote sportsmanship, create positive environments for kids to play sports, and help young people in St. Louis lead healthier, happier lives. Is this event tax-deductible?
A portion of this event may be tax-deductible for companies who are an official sponsor or those who donate to the event.

 

 

 

The times and locations of packet pick-up for the Biz Dash will be announced as we get closer to the event. For all participants, each company team's Team Captain or designated employee will pick up the company team box with all members' packets during packet pick up times the week of the event.  Individual in-person participants can pick up their packets at the same times.
