2026 Green Family YMCA Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile

Please join us on Thanksgiving morning for the Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run in the City of Green! For the past 13 years, the Green Professionals Association (GPA) has presented the Turkey Trot; this year, it will be presented by the Green Family YMCA. 

All proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit the Green Family YMCA community. Because of donations and support from the community, the Y is able to offer financial assistance to those who need it, so that everyone who wants to be a part of the Y can be, regardless of their ability to pay. 

Event Details

Event: 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Where: Green Memorial Stadium- 1711 Steese Rd. Green, Ohio 44685
When: Thursday, November 26th, 2026, at 7:30AM (1 mile) and 8:00AM (5K).

We encourage participants in the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk to wear a costume! There will be various awards given, including most festive holiday costume, best family costume, most unique costume!

Prices

5K Run/Walk:
$30, when registered on or before October 31st
$35, when registered on or after November 1st 

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk:
$15, when registered on or before October 31st
$20, when registered on or after November 1st

There will be no day-of-race registrations this year.
 

Packet Pick-Up

Early Packet Pickup (highly recommended) between November 13th – November 25th @ Green Family YMCA located at 3800 Massillon Rd, Green, OH 44685
Monday- Thursdays: 6am – 8pm
Fridays: 6am – 7pm
Saturdays: 8am – 4pm
Sundays: 1pm – 4pm
 
Race Day Packet Pick-Up @ Green Memorial Stadium located at 1711 Steese Rd, Green, OH 44685
Thursday, November 26th from 6:30 am – 7:15 am.
 

Race Day Parking

Parking will be available at the stadium, Green Middle School/CORE, Central Park, Central Administration Building, and anywhere along Town Park Blvd.
Please note that Town Park Blvd. will be closed at 7:15am.  After 7:15am, all cars will be directed to the Middle School/CORE parking lot.
West bound traffic on Steese Rd. will be restricted from 7:30am until 8:15am. Please plan accordingly.
Please note that the stadium will not open until 6:30am.

Awards

5K: Prizes for top 3 Male & Female in each class and top 3 Male & Female Overall. Age brackets are-14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & up. 1 Mile: Top 4 finishers.
