2026 Hartford Strawberry Run

🍓 The Strawberry Run is BACK! 🍓 

After time away, we’re excited to announce the return of a beloved community tradition—the Strawberry 5K Race at the Hartford Strawberry Festival!

The Hartford Cross Country and Track & Field programs, in partnership with Hartford Athletics, are proud to bring this event back to life, and we’re inviting runners, walkers, families, and community members of all ages to be part of the celebration.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, enjoying a fun run with friends, or just looking for a great way to kick off your festival day, the Strawberry Run has something for everyone. Experience a scenic course, a supportive hometown atmosphere, and the energy of a community coming together for a great cause.

The deadline for a guaranteed T-shirt is June 1st, 2026. 

A select number of extras will be ordered, and available sizes will be shown during sign-ups.  

Update: Race Day Information

Registration will open at 6:30 am under the Hartford Husky tent in front of the high school. 

Parking will be available in the alternative, high school, and middle school lots. Overflow parking will be around the back of the middle school by the softball fields. Please note that the last row of the middle school lot will be closed for part of the 5k route. 

Due to construction, the school building will be closed. Porta-potties will be on-site close to the start/finish line. The soccer concession stand restrooms around back by the overflow parking will also be available.

Our route has changed from previous years, so please note the new route. A map was emailed out to all participants and will be available upon check-in. 

Awards will be handed out as results come in. We will award plaques to the top overall male and the top overall female. Medals will be given to the top finishers in each age group for both male and female. Please bring your bib to the registration table to claim. Announcements will also be made throughout the morning.
