2026 Kansas City Zoo Run, "Run for the Hornbills"

Thank you for joining us for the 23rd Anniversary of the Kansas City Zoo Run, "Run for the Hornbills!"

The Kansas City Zoo Run is a local favorite, featuring a different species of animal each year. 

All participants receive uniquely branded swag associated with the year's featured animal species.  In addition to the swag, a portion of each participant's entry fee supports the Friends of the Zoo.  The uniquely branded swag that each participant will receive in 2026 includes the following:

- Custom designed featured species GO-EX Hornbills t-shirt
- Custom Hornbills finisher's medal
- Free one-time entry into the Kansas City Zoo that is valid on race day or any day through the end of 2026

If you want to start fundraising after completing your registration, you will need to log into your RunSignUp account and edit your registration.  From there, you will be able to choose "Become A Fundraiser" and join in the fun while supporting the Hornbills!

How do I start fundraising?   
During the registration process, you will have the option to "become a fundraiser", and then if you would like to, you can "join a team" or "create a team".

"Become a fundraiser" allows you to create a personal custom fundraiser to share with your friends and family.

"Join a team" allows you to join a friend's fundraiser to help them reach their goal.

"Create a team" allows you to create a team to invite others to join in your efforts to raise money and have fun!

Log in to your Run Sign Up account

- next, go to "manage registration"

- then, go to the "fundraiser" tab on the top right of the page

- there you can create your fundraiser. 

As you fundraise, you will receive a "badge" for each level you reach. Below are the levels and badges you can earn.

$100: $10 Gift Certificate

$250: Long Sleeve Hornbills T-shirt + KC Zoo Run swag

$500: Long Sleeve Hornbills T-shirt + KC Zoo Run swag + KC Zoo Family Four Pack

$750: Horndbills Sweatshirt + Long Sleeve Hornbills T-shirt + KC Zoo Run swag + KC Zoo Family Four Pack 

$1000: Horndbills Sweatshirt + Long Sleeve Hornbills T-shirt + KC Zoo Run swag + KC Zoo Family Four Pack + Water bottle

*Note, you will receive the prizes AFTER the fundraiser closes on September 19, 2026, based on the level that you achieved by September 19, 2026. You will only receive the prizes that are listed at the level you have achieved.
