Knights of Columbus Sunrise Council 6607 presents their annual Paws of War Family 5K Run & Walk.

We are so excited for the upcoming Paws of War 5K hosted by the Knights of Columbus Sunrise Council 6607 in support of our mission to help veterans, first responders, and rescue animals through our service dog programs. This event is a meaningful way to bring the community together while supporting those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

As we approach America's 250th anniversary in 2026, this momentous milestone offers a unique opportunity to honor the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our nation. This commemorative event celebrates the enduring spirit of our country while paying special tribute to our veterans, first responders, and active military personnel who embody the courage and commitment that have defined our national journey. By supporting these heroes, we not only recognize their immense sacrifices but also reaffirm the core values of freedom, service, and unity that have sustained our democracy for two and a half centuries.

Your service dog is invited! 

Service Dog Etiquette

• Ensure your service animal is under control at all times
• Keep your service dog on a leash or harness
• Be prepared to remove your service animal if it becomes disruptive
• Verify that your service dog is trained to perform specific tasks related to your disability
• Bring necessary supplies like water, waste bags, and a compact mat or towel

Awards will be presented to the top overall Male and Female winners.
