About 2026 Princeton 5K
The Princeton 5K is ready for you in 2025! In its 17th year, the Princeton 5K represents all that is good about community in-person events. Athletes - young and old, big and small, fast and not as fast - come together year after year to run or walk while generously supporting the Princeton High School Cross Country and Track & Field teams.
The 5K race is an IN-PERSON only event this year on Saturday, March 21.
In 2026, we are continuing to offer the KIDS DASH. A challenging 300m loop for all children under the age of 10 years! All participants will receive a youth t-shirt to wear with pride.
We hope to see the whole family on race day!

PLEASE NOTE: The Princeton 5K course was recently re-certified and as a result has been updated to reflect a new start and finish line. Please take a minute to review the updated course map! The scenic 5K course explores the neighborhoods around Princeton High School and Princeton Middle School.
AWARDS
Awards are given as follows:
>> In three divisions (Male, Female and Non-binary), Overall Awards will be distributed to 1st and 2nd places.
>> Age Group awards will be distributed to 1st and 2nd places in Male and Female divisions.
>> Age groups are: <14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70+
The following awards will also be distributed at the 5K:
>> 1st Place, Boy and Girl, PHS XC or T&F athlete
>> 1st Place, Boy and Girl, PMS athlete
DESCRIPTION/LOCATION
DESCRIPTION: The Princeton 5K is set for March 22, 2025 In its 16th year, the Princeton 5K represents all that is good about community in-person events. Athletes - young and old, big and small, fast and not as fast - come together year after year to run or walk while generously supporting the Princeton High School Cross Country and Track & Field teams.
The race starts at 8:30 AM sharp!
The Princeton 5K includes a KIDS DASH. A challenging 300m loop for all children under the age of 10 years! All participants will receive a youth t-shirt to wear with pride.
We hope to see the whole family on race day!
LOCATION (Start + Finish): Princeton Middle School, 217 Walnut Lane, Princeton NJ 08540
KIDS DASH
In 2025, we will again host the KIDS DASH. A fun 300m loop on Walnut Lane. Children under the age of 10 (or kids who have not yet entered Princeton Middle School) are welcome to join in! All participants will receive a youth t-shirt to wear with pride.
The dash will start at 9:30AM sharp! Children will start in front of PMS. Kids will be directed to run up Walnut Lane towards Princeton High School. At the intersection of Walnut and Franklin Avenue they will turn around and run downhill to the finish! Parents are welcome to join their kids for the race or cheer them on from the sidelines.
PACKET PICK UP
Participants will collect a RACE T-SHIRT and BIB.

SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2025 (IN-PERSON EVENT / RACE DAY): Princeton High School Performing Arts Center PARKING LOT located on Walnut Lane across from the intersection with Franklin Avenue.
7:00AM - 8:15AM
PARKING
FREE parking is available at Princeton High School. Park in front of the school or use the main parking lot on the corner of Walnut Lane and Houghton Street.
FREE parking is also available at Princeton Middle School in the corner lot, Walnut Lane and Guyot Avenue, or behind the school off of Guyot Ave.
NO PARKING is allowed in the Westminster Choir College parking lots or in the Christ Congregation Church lot (across from Princeton High School).
The Princeton Police Department will close roads along the race course at 8:00 am.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION
RACE DAY REGISTRATION opens at 7:15AM on Saturday, March 22. Registration fees are accepted in cash or by check or credit card.
RACE T-SHIRTS
The Princeton 5K would not be complete without a race t-shirt!
Athletes registered on or before March 1, 2025, are guaranteed to receive a shirt. After March 1, race shirts are available while supplies last.
All registered participants are welcome to pick up their race t-shirt at packet pick up. Packet pick up will take place at FLEET FEET - PRINCETON RUNNING COMPANY (108 Nassau Street) on Friday, March 21, 2024, 12 - 7PM.
