8:00 AM Gather in Musser Park for announcements, instructions, & the race start
8:30 AM 200 Yard Kid’s Fun Run 
9:00 AM 5K Race Start
10:05 AM approximately- Awards will be announced from the Portico in Musser Park as results come in.

What time does the Race Start?
The official start of the race is 9:00 AM and the Kid's Fun Run begins at 8:30 AM. We encourage you to arrive early and enjoy music, celebration, and good food before taking your place at the start line. 

Will there be food at the event?
Race participants will be offered water and fruit upon completing the 5k Race. Various food vendors will also be available with selections for purchase from approximately 8 AM - 11 AM.

How can children participate in Race Against Racism?
Children 14 and younger can run on the RAR 5K race course and are eligible for age bracket awards with Youth Registrations. Children 12 and younger who will not participate in the 5K course are encouraged to register for the Kid's Fun Run, which will begin at the Start line at 8:30 AM on race day. Do not register children who will be participating in a stroller. 

Can I accompany my child on the Kid's Fun Run Course?
Yes! An adult registration is not required for you to accompany your child during the Kids Fun Run. 

Are strollers permitted on the race course?
Yes! Children participating in a stroller should not register for the event and receive a race bib.

Are pets permitted on the race course?
No. Pets are not permitted on the race course

Are wheelchairs permitted on the race course?
Yes! Be sure to let us know you will be participating with the use of a wheelchair by clicking the appropriate box in the registration form. 

Will there be a 2025 Race Against Racism Playlist?
Yes! We are thoughtfully curating a playlist for you to enjoy! This link will be made available to you digitally and in our printed Race Against Racism, Self-Guided map. This map will be available to ALL RAR participants at Packet Pick Up. 

Who can form a Race Against Racism Team?
Anyone! It just takes two to make a team! Gather a group of family & friends, coworkers, or individuals from your club or faith community!

Do teams need to participate together on the race course?
No! We do not require teams to start or stay together on the race course. If you would like to assemble as a group to begin together, we recommend choosing a spot in the park to meet up prior to the 9 AM race start.

Important Participant Info:

• Register by April 6, 2025, to receive early bird registration pricing and be guaranteed your Race Against Racism swag.
• Swag will be available to participants who registered after this date while supplies last.
• Team captains must pre-register their team online before team members can sign-up. TEAM DEADLINE IS APRIL 6, 2025!
• RAR is held rain or shine, and all registration fees are non-refundable.  
• Strollers are allowed on the race course.
• Pets are prohibited from the race course.
   

Packet Pick Up

Individual and Team Packet pick up will be held the week of April 21, 2025, and if you have registered for the in-person race, you will be issued a paper bib at that time. Team Packets must be picked up in their entirety by the team captain and are available during all Packet Pick Up timeslots. We encourage pick up of teams early in the week to aid you in simple and efficient distribution to your team members. Participants are encouraged to pick up their packets prior to race day to minimize lines & enhance everyone's Race Against Racism experience.

Due to ongoing construction at the YWCA Lancaster Building, Packet Pick Up will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Orange St. Lancaster. 

Race Day Pick Up will be outside on the 100 Block of N. Lime Street

Wednesday, April 23, 1 PM - 6 PM
Thursday, April 24, 10 AM - 6 PM
Friday, April 25, 10 AM – 6 PM
Saturday, April 26, 7:00 AM - 8:45 AM (outside on N. Lime Street)

Awards and Race Against Racism Celebrations held in Musser Park 

Kids’ Fun Run: A dash for kids through age 12. The Fun Run will start prior to the 5K race, and all kids will receive a participation ribbon.

Race Day Parking

Paid parking is available at Lancaster City parking garages located at Queen and Chestnut streets, Duke St. between Chestnut and Orange streets, and E. King St. between Duke and Lime streets. Free parking is available for up to two hours on streets near Musser park, but those spots are limited. It is highly recommended to park in the closest garages: E. King St garage and Duke St garage, due to road closures at 7 AM on race day.

Awards

Youth Awards: First, Second, and Third place medals will be awarded in the following age categories for Non-Binary, Female, & Male Participants: 9 and under, 10 to 13, and 14 to 18.

Adult Awards: First, Second, and Third place monetary prizes will be awarded in the following age categories for Female & Male.
