The Hank Aaron State Trail 5K attracts more than 1,500 people of all abilities and ages.
Join in this lively community family-friendly stroll OR for a Personal Record with Professional Chip Timing
Featuring: A Flat and Fast course, right in the heart of Milwaukee.
The course winds through the beautiful Three Bridges Park, through restored prairie. This route is steeped in history and located along Milwaukee's former rail and industrial corridor. The transformation continues!
Come out to support the Hank Aaron State Trail's largest fundraiser.
The after-party is one of the best around!

Everyone Has a Place on the Trail The HAST 5K isn't just for the speedsters—it’s a celebration of our community! Whether you’re chasing a PR or chasing a toddler, we want you there.
Walkers Welcome: Not a runner? No problem. Enjoy the scenic route at your own pace.
Stroller Friendly: Bring the little ones along! We just ask that strollers start toward the back of the pack for a smooth takeoff.
Keep it Low-Key: If the clock doesn't matter to you, simply select the "UNTIMED" event during registration for a stress-free morning.
Paws Pause: We love our four-legged friends, but please leave the pups at home for this specific event to ensure a safe path for all.

- Top Male and Female Finishers
- Top Three Male and Female Finishers in each age group (13 & under, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+)
- Top Corporate & Community Teams: largest team and most team spirit.
Directions & Parking
The Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run/Walk start and finish line is located in the Uecker Lot (off of Canal Street) on the East side of the river at American Family Field.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-94, take Hwy 175 south (Brewers Blvd, exit 308 B). Take the next exit right towards American Family Field and Canal St. and follow signs for General Parking to the American Family Lot. Take your first left hand turn into the parking lot. Follow the road under the footbridge and you will see the event.
From Downtown Milwaukee, take Canal Street westbound to American Family Field East Lots. Enter at Gantner Lot
From Bluemound Ave., take Mitchell Blvd. to Miller Park East Lots.
PARKING
Free parking is available in the Uecker Lot at American Family Field (see map below). Visit https://www.mlb.com/brewers/ballpark/transportation/parking for more parking information.

Public Transportation
The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) operates two bus routes within walking distance of American Family Field: the GoldLine on Wisconsin Avenue and Route 18 on National Avenue. Please visit RideMCTS.com for schedule information.

Route
Our unique 5K route includes running along both the north and south sides of the Hank Aaron State Trail through Three Bridges Park giving participants even more time in nature, along the Trail, and the Menomonee River.

Silent Auction & Race Proceeds
We are grateful to all who support Donations to our Silent Auction.

A donation form can be accessed here, with further information on how to donate. We are requesting all donations be received by 7/25/2026.
Your race proceeds support all major initiatives of The Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail, including:
- Sending up to 80 kids to Bike Adventure Camp each summer to bike over a hundred miles on the Trail.
- Organizing Stew Crews that keep the trails clean from Spring through Fall.
- Mural Art along the trail at our most recent 16th Street Viaduct Project, as well as People of the Road.
- Pocket Park Establishment as Eastern Trail Head where the Oak Leaf Trail connects with the HAST at Henry Maier Summerfest Grounds.
The restoration of the trail and adjacent areas has provided green space for recreation, wildlife habitat, and improved ecology; Altogether, the Hank Aaron State Trail is a unique destination and undeniable community asset for all to enjoy.

Supporting a great cause is more fun with friends! Pull together a group of 8+ from work, high school, bike club, church, neighborhood, etc and register your team today!
Teams of 8 or more register for
WITH T-SHIRT
- $30 per adult / $20 per child (12 and under)
WITHOUT T-SHIRT
- $25 per adult / $15 per child (12 and under)
- Get your team logo on your shirts (must register by July 25 to receive team logo and guaranteed shirt & shirt sizes).
- Additional recognition - prizes for teams include Largest Team, Fastest Team, and Team Spirit trophies.
- Winning teams receive a prestigious annual traveling award for bragging rights until next year!
- Minimum 8 entrants to qualify as a team.
- Kids are welcome to join teams at an additional discounted rate for those 12 and under!

Scholastic Teams
The Hank Aaron State Trail 5K Run/Walk offers a Scholastic Summer Running Team category! Please consider forming a co-ed scholastic-aged team (18 and under) to participate and compete against other teams.
ScholasticTeam Benefits:
- Builds camaraderie and team spirit
- Professionally Chip-Timed event
- Perfect pre-season training activity or “captains” practices
- Non-WIAA event and takes place before the first day of Fall 2026 XC practice (Aug. 17)
- Co-ed and open to anyone 18 and under
- Top 5 finishing times count for Fastest Team award
- Individual times also compete for fastest male and female in your age division (U13, 14-17, 18-24)
- Compete against other competitive running teams such as Performance Running Outfitters
- Low rate of $20 available only to scholastic team members and their coach(es)! (T-shirt NOT included)
