A 27-year tradition for elite athletes, weekend warriors and first-timers alike! Choose between our 4 Mile Run or our 1 Mile Walk in support of Our House Foundation!

4 Mile Awards & Timing
Our 4 Miler features Overall and Age Group medals (male/female/non-binary), which will be awarded on-site.
- Medals to Top 3 Overall PLUS complimentary entry into our 28th Annual Our House, Our Run in 2027!
- Medals to Top 3 in 5 Year Age Groups (m/f/n)
- 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-90, and the 90+ category!
All 4 Mile runners will have a B-Tag (RFID chip) affixed to their assigned number and will receive an official finish time. Results will be found on BestRace.com and can also be accessed instantly on your smartphone at BestRace.com/mobile (unofficial) once you cross the finish line.
We are once again a USATF-NJ All-Division Championship Race and 700 point Grand Prix event. Current USATF-NJ members are eligible for a $3 pre-registration discount. Please submit your membership number during registration to earn points.

Parking & Directions
Our event site, Pleasant Valley Park, offers parking in three main lots. Use 3405 Valley Road, Basking Ridge, NJ for GPS directions. Upon entering the park, follow the main road to the end to park closest to our event site. Once that lot is full, you will be directed to park in the middle or pool lot. If you need to leave prior to 11:30am, please do NOT park in the upper lot.

We encourage carpooling to help reduce the environmental impact of our event and allow for the most participants to park in the nearest lot.

Please do not park in the smaller lot next to the Pickleball/Tennis courts.

The upper lot closest to Tobin Heath Field will close at 9:45am (or earlier if full) and will not reopen or allow any vehicular traffic until all runners have completed their 4 miles (approximately 11:30am).

Our event site is located near Tobin Heath Field and parking is located adjacent to this field as well as the lots near the basketball courts and the pool - parking is not available in the lot adjacent to the tennis/pickleball courts. While entering the Park, follow the road all the way to the end and look for Parking Signs. See Parking & Directions page for more information.

The lot closest to the event site will close at 9:45am so arrive early!

Check-In and Event Day Sign-Up are your first stop, starting at 8:15am at the red-capped tents. Early registrants (through Thursday 5/8) can pick-up your Bib # and long-sleeve souvenir shirt here.

We will be accepting new registrations by cash or check with paper form ($45) or through our website with a credit card processing fee – shirts are limited and while supplies last for those signing up on 5/8 or 5/9.

Environmental Notes:

While plenty of water will be available to you on-site, we encourage you to BYOW (bring your own water in your own reusable bottle) and help reduce our single-use plastic waste. A refill station will be available.

We are now accepting your Tyvek bib numbers for recycling! If you don't want to keep your bib, drop it off at the BestLife.Events tent. We'll also take any old bibs you may want to recycle from other events. Please make sure you have removed safety pins and timing chips!

Orange bins are for trash going to the landfill. White bins are for Plastic Bottle Recycling Only. If you have additional recycling, please deposit it at the BestLife.Events tent and we'll take care of it for you!

HYDRATE! Whether you BYOW or visit our water tables at the refreshments tents or the Finish Line, please make sure you are well hydrated for your run or walk.

Please wear your bib # on the FRONT of your shirt and do not bend or alter your 4M timing chip located on the back of the bib. Do not trade or swap your number with anyone. If needed, you can ask for help at registration.

Clocks at each mile & the finish; water will be available 4 times along the course and at the finish line.

Only runners pacing under 6:30 minutes per mile should "toe" the start line for safety.

No pets, skates, bikes for safety reasons; baby joggers are allowed but must start in back of pack and stay to one side when on narrower portions of the course.

Instant results will be at BestRace.com/Mobile and full results will be available on both this website and BestRace.com. Look for QR codes around the event site.

Your course is through the beautiful Pleasant Valley Park. You will see other runners throughout the race, so please be mindful of course signs and volunteer instructions. Maps can be found on our website.

Registration Cost & Deadlines
From March 1st through May 8th, register online for your choice of 4 Mile Run, 1 Mile Walk or Virtual Race. Our early-bird special rate will only be available for a limited time. Prices increase on April 1st and May 1st. All registrations include our souvenir event long-sleeved shirt and bib while supplies last. Please note that shirt sizes and availability can only be guaranteed until April 30th, so register early!
Registrations received after May 1st, will receive our souvenir shirts on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last. You can also sign up on event day with cash or check ($45).

Running Teams & Clubs - Please Read
Hello! We're so excited to have you join us. Due to event logistics and insurance requirements, there are specific rules we must follow if you would like to set up a team meeting location on site.

To set up a Team tent at the event, you will have to PRE-register to do so. Upon arrival, you will need to check in with the Team Liaison at the Event Check-In tents and will be shown where you can set up your tent within the designated area.

Please Note: Your tent needs to be 10' x 10' or less and be a pop-up style tent and we REQUIRE that your tent is properly weighted down (no stakes allowed).

Alternatively, there is open space throughout if you would like to place a lawn sign or tie a balloon to designate your meeting area. Pre-registration is not required for this option, but please do this AFTER 8:15am to ensure all official event structures are in place.

To submit results for your Virtual Run or Walk, start on the Results Page and then click on the maroon "Submit Virtual Results" button near the top. Follow the prompts and always confirm you are on the correct dropdown results set. Watch our tutorial here.
- 4 Mile & 1 Mile results submission opens on May 3rd and closes on May 9th at midnight.
- You can run multiple times and post your best time. You can even jog or walk 1 mile per day and add up the times. You can also report completing the distance, but skip entering a time. This is YOUR event, do it YOUR way.
- TIP: If the "no time" checkbox is clicked, please unclick it to enter your time.

You Can Still Join Us VIRTUALLY!
Can't make it on event day or live far away? No problem! You can still join the fun and support Our House along the way.
- Run or walk anywhere, anytime within event week May 3rd-9th.
- You can use your favorite GPS fitness tracking app to record your effort or simply run/walk a known route in your neighborhood.
- You can spread our reach and awareness by wearing a prior year event shirt around your town! Virtual participants will be notified as to when the 2026 souvenir event shirts will be available for pick-up at the Our House office.
- Share your pics, course and your run or walk stats by email or on Facebook with hashtag #OurHouseOurRun!
- Use #OurHouseOurRun in your social media posts to connect with the Our House community!
- Running with a team or small group? Set a time and date for your members to run/walk, if their schedule allows, and have a video party afterwards.
Our Facebook Event Page will again act as our Virtual Event Venue in 2026. This is where we can all interact, share our goals, share our results, post pictures of our bibs, our shirts, and our miles, hashtag our posts using #OurHouseOurRun, get new information and be a part of the festivities!

Our House, Our Run 4 Miler & Our House, Our Walk returns for our 27th anniversary celebration on May 9, 2026 at a NEW location - Pleasant Valley Park in Basking Ridge. In our 27th year, we are so excited to host our traditional event-day format, featuring a run and walk, but will continue to offer a virtual component for a 7th year so each of you will be able to choose how you participate and support.
Our annual community event and fundraising efforts are critical for supporting the adults with disabilities served by Our House and we are most appreciative of your ongoing support. We promise to once again deliver a socially engaging community experience through Our House, Our Run!

Our House, Inc., founded in 1980, is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to provide healthy, stimulating and inclusive environments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through community residences, employment services, innovative day programs, social opportunities and related support services designed to help them achieve their full potential for living meaningful and productive lives. Our House strives to provide these opportunities in a supportive, safe environment that stresses “abilities, not disabilities”.
