About 28th Annual Rail Trail 10-Miler

On August 22, 2026, the York Road Runners Club will hold the 28th annual Rail Trail 10-Miler to benefit The ARC of York and Adams Counties. 

The race starts at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania, and runs ten gentle, downhill miles one way north along the scenic York County Heritage Rail Trail, passing through the oldest operational train tunnel in the nation, and finishing just before the Rail Trail crosses Princess Street in downtown York, PA.

After the runners finish the course, post-race refreshments (including craft beer from Collusion Tap Works) and entertainment will take place at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum (directly across the street from the finish line).

What time does the race start?
8:00 AM

Where can I park for the race?
There is parking available at the start line at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church (7 Maple Street, Seven Valleys, PA).  There is also parking at the finish line across the street from the Agricultural and Industrial Museum (217 W. Princess Street, York, PA). 
 
Are there water stations on the course?
Yes.  Water stations are located roughly around miles 3, 6, 7, and 9.  We will also have water available in the start line area and immediately after you finish the race.  PLEASE NOTE:  Water stations are located at points along the race route that allow access to the Rail Trail for the volunteers to set up each station.  Locations/distances of the stations are approximate.
 
When and where is race packet pickup?
Race packet pickup is scheduled for:  Friday, August 22 at The Arc of York & Adams Counties' Hill Street Office (497 Hill Street, York, PA 17403) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  
 
Where do I pick up my packet if I cannot make it prior to race day? 
Bus riders can pick up their packet on race day before they board the bus in the finish line area.  Non-bus riders can pick up their packet at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Seven Valleys starting at 7:00 AM on race day.
 
What are the age categories for awards? 
We will have awards for the top three finishers (for both men and women) in the following age groups:

Are there post-race refreshments?
Yes!!   We will celebrate all those who finish the race at our "11th Mile" with cold beverages and salty and sweet snacks directly across the street from the finish line at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum.  Runners over the age of 21 can enjoy a craft beer courtesy of our Beer Garden Sponsor Collusion Tap Works of York.
 
Are there bathrooms available on race day?
Yes!!   There are numerous port-a-potties at the race start staging area at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church, and there are restroom facilities located inside the Agricultural and Industrial Museum for after the race.  In addition, there is a port-a-potty located along the course in the Days Mill Road Parking lot area (around mile 6).  PLEASE NOTE:  The restrooms located inside the Agricultural and Industrial Museum will not be open for bus riders at pick up.  They will open for the post-race event.   Please plan accordingly if you are taking the buses from the finish area to the start area.  The port-a-potties will be available upon arrival in Seven Valleys.
 
I registered for the race but now I am unable to make it.  Can I get a refund, or can I transfer my bib number?
Unfortunately, no, we do not give refunds or bib transfers.  We thank you for your donation and your support of those we serve!
 
Can I push a jogging stroller during the race?
No participants using bicycles, baby strollers, roller skates, scooters or skateboards are allowed.
 
Can I run with my dog? 
We love dogs and other animals but, in this case, for the safety of others and your furry friend, we do not allow dogs in the race.
