43rd Annual Independence Day 5K

At the Y, we know that real, lasting change happens when we come together to invest in our children, our health, and our communities. As a leading nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of donors and events like this race to ensure that everyone—regardless of their circumstances—has access to life-changing programs and services. By lacing up for the Y’s Independence Day 5K, you’re doing more than running a race—you’re giving working parents access to reliable, high-quality childcare, equipping kids with life-saving water safety skills, and providing teens with positive mentors and a safe space to grow. Every step you take makes a difference.

The Y’s Independence Day 5K is more than a race, it's a fun way to help give working parents access to reliable, high-quality childcare, provide kids with life-saving water safety skills, and support teens with positive mentors and a safe space to grow. In 2025, more than 800 runners of all ages and abilities showed up to participate and helped raise more than $30,000 to support local kids and families.
