Charity Partner
We are excited to announce that the local charity for this event is Bear Bags Program!
The Bear Bags program began in 2010 and exists to provide nutritious food over the weekend to Bryan City School families in need throughout the school year. According to the Ohio Department of Education, at least 39% of BCS students are eligible for free and reduced priced lunches due to living in households with low
income. While national funding is used to feed these children at school, food insecurity is a persistent challenge on weekends and other days that school is not in
session. The Bear Bags program was created to help meet the need of food insecurity outside the school building and school day. During the 23/24 school year, the Bear Bags program was able to pack and send home 2,488 bags of nutritious food for our students. That was an increase of over 1,100 bags from just the year before. The exceptional need continues as we are currently averaging 75 bags sent home each weekend during the 24/25 school year. The Bear Bags program is funded solely through donations from generous community organizations and members, and is run by volunteers committed to helping Bryan students and families have what they need.

Can I Participate Virtually?
Absolutely! We have been getting many inquiries about virtual participation and have integrated a virtual option into our regular registration.
Please feel free to register through the regular registration link above and you can either:
1) Pick up packet during packet pickup or on the morning of the race, but run on your own (hint: wine ticket is still good if you use this strategy)
2) Contact us at any time to switch to the Virtual Wine Run 5k and we'll ship your packet (There will be a shipping and handling charge for this option)
Also, if you intend on running, but later change your mind and would like to do either of these options, that's ok too! If you are definitely going to have us ship your packet and run virtually though, we do recommend you follow the instructions below:
1). Go to runsignup.com/profile and log into your account.
2). Click on "Manage Registration" next to this race.
3). On the next page click on transfer to another race and choose the virtual wine run race.
