5th Annual Octoberfest 5K

WHERE AND WHEN

The race will take place Saturday October 17, 2026 - 9:00 a.m. sharp.

All events start and finish at Maria Greenwald, Softball Field.

There is on site parking.

The Award Ceremony will take place following the conclusion of the event at the race site.

After the Award Ceremony you are invited to celebrate at King's Road Brewing Company, 131 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.

Additional Parking available at Downtown Haddonfield, *Payment Required, enforced 9 am - 8 pm*

Visually Impaired participants are welcomed to partake in the event with a guide or guide dog as needed. Guides will be available if needed.

4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Packet Pickup will be held at the Haddonfield Running Company, 121 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ 08033. In-person registration is available via cash, check, or online.

Saturday 10/17

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Check-in, Packet Pickup, and Race-Day Registration if available (prices increased) at race site via cash, check, or online.
8:45 a.m. - Pre-race briefing
9:00 a.m. - 5k Run start

We need your help-

Currently, the LIONS are preparing for The Haddonfield Lions Club’s 4 th Annual 5K Run for Vision, being held on Saturday morning, October 5, 2024. The event will be held at Maria Barnaby Greenwald Park, on the border of Haddonfield and Cherry Hill. This ‘festive event’ will include many prizes and awards given out immediately after the run, at Kings Road Brewery in Haddonfield.

All Proceeds raised by donations, sponsorships, and race fees go to local area charities benefiting those with visual impairments, blindness, hunger, diabetes, and other worthy causes. Your donation will be used to help in many ways; for example, sending a blind child to summer camp, buying a musical instrument for a blind student, providing assistance for seeing eye dogs, providing a new cornea to a blind baby thus restoring sight, and scholarships to local high school students.
The LIONS have been serving many benefactors in our community, donating an average of $20k/year, for over seven decades.

You can help in several ways:

• Sign up yourself to participate- or tell others.

This year, an added option is to sponsor a Team -representing your organization. You may select how many FREE runners you want to represent your company, - as defined in the ‘5K Run Sponsorship Levels Form’.

October shines a spotlight on vision awareness and care. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 314 million people in the world have a severe visual impairment. 
Surprisingly, 80% of blindness is preventable. 
The mission of the Haddonfield Lions Club and Lions Club International is to serve. We contribute to sight-preservation initiatives including vision screenings. Early intervention can prevent loss of sight or slow disease progression.

There will be an awards ceremony immediately after the race at the start line of the race at about 10:15am.

Come join us for an After-Race Party at King's Road Brewing Company! The After-Race Party will begin at 10:30 a.m. Light snacks will be offered after 10:30 a.m. The brewery will close for a short period of time to clean before they reopen at 12:00 p.m. No alcohol will be served until the brewery reopens.

The Brewery and the adjacent Tasting Room in Haddonfield are located at 131 Kings Highway East, right in the center of Downtown Haddonfield. There is street parking available, municipal parking lots all around us, and we are just two short blocks from the PATCO High Speedline.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Races require volunteers to happen! 

If you have a friend or family member accompanying you to this event, please ask them if they would help while waiting for you to finish.

If available they will receive a souvenir T-shirt, post-race food and refreshments, and sincere thanks from the staff and competitors.
