Choose your challenge—3.5 miles or 7 miles—and experience one of Michigan’s most scenic trail runs! The 7-Lakes Trail Run starts and finishes at the 7-Lakes Beach, guiding runners through mature hardwood forests, lakeside views, and rolling terrain at beautiful Seven Lakes State Park. Bring the family and enjoy the lake after the Race!

🗺️ Trail Features:

• A mix of flat sections and moderate elevation changes

• Varied trail widths—wide, narrow, and everything in between

• Natural obstacles like tree roots and uneven surfaces (trail shoes encouraged!)

• Views of multiple lakes throughout your run

• Course is well-marked with signs, cones, and field paint to highlight key turns and natural hazards—so you can focus on the run, not the route!

7-Lakes Trail Run (3.5Mile & 7Mile) Course Map

3.5-Mile = 1 Lap
7 Mile = 2 Laps (You will get a 3.5-Mile Split Time!)

🗺️ The trail features:

• A mix of flat sections and moderate elevation changes

• Views of multiple lakes throughout your run
   

All Races will start and finish at the 7-Lakes State Park Pavilion on the north end of the beach.

Runners will start by running along the paved sidewalk beside the beach, then turn right by the playground and on the outskirts of the parking lot. Runners will then run on the road until the trail by the 7-Lakes Boat launch starts. Runners will then run the trails depicted in the image below. When finishing the trail portion between the Seven Lakes and Little Seven Lake, runners will go up to the road where a section of the shoulder will be coned off. When crossing the dam, runners will re-route back onto a final stretch of trail back to the 7-Lakes State Park Pavilion!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you run with a stroller?
We welcome parents with jogging strollers! Your child must remain securely fastened inside the stroller while on the course for safety and insurance reasons. Please note this is a trail run and some terrain may be challenging with a stroller.

Can you run with a dog?
We love dogs! Because of our love for dogs, we do not allow them to participate in a race designed for people unless they are service dogs. Dogs are welcome as spectators!

Is there a gear check?
No, there is not a gear check. We recommend leaving all items you do not desire to run with in your vehicle on race day.
