Aberdeen Family YMCA Bull Run

We are excited to announce we are offering the Bull Run In-person and Virtual this year in 2025.  The Virtual Race will be July 13-25 and the In-person Race is Saturday, July 25, 2026.  Both events are open to everyone!  Make sure you register for the correct race, "Virtual" or In-person.

The Bull Run proceeds benefit YMCA programs and provide financial assistance to youth and families that may not otherwise be able to afford a Y membership and all it has to offer. Our YMCA programs are for Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

IN-PERSON RUN DETAILS

GENERAL INFORMATION
- Aid stations will be provided along all routes.
- Refreshments will be available at the finish area.
- For your safety no bikes, roller blades or scooters allowed for the Fun Walk. Strollers and wagons are welcome!
- Walkers must use the sidewalks at all times.
 

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to assure quick check in and efficient ordering of t-shirts and food. Registration will be held in the YMCA Community Rooms beginning at 6:30am
- 6:30 am Registration Opens
- 7:00 am Half Marathon starts
- 8:00 am 10K, 5K starts
- 8:00 am Fun Walk after 10K, 5K start
- 9:30 am Munchkin Run (age 3-12)
Awards ceremony and refreshments immediately following the Munchkin Run.

 
AGE CATEGORIES
12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
(age on race day)

 
AWARDS
Male and female overall winners in Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, will receive a YMCA Bull Run running shirt. Additional prizes will also be awarded in each age category.*All Half Marathon runners will receive a finishers medal

SPECIAL REGISTRATION FEES

STUDENT REGISTRATION
Students 18 years old and younger - $20 ($30 after July 19)

ADULT REGISTRATION
Ages 19 and up - $30 ($40 after July 19)

FAMILY REGISTRATION
Families can register together under a Family Registration Rate by clicking the Multi-Person Pricing link on the Signup page.

Family Rate: $70.00 ($90 after July 19)
Immediate Family Members can register under the Family Rate
Family rate includes a shirt for all participating family members (ages 3 & up)

In a virtual run, you will run whatever distance you register for on your own, with family or a friend. Your run does not have to follow the normal race route, and it can be run anywhere in the world.

You will want to keep track of your time for the Virtual Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and insure you run at least the minimum distance of the race you register for.

When finished with your run, you submit your time for the applicable races using the different options listed below.

There will be a certificate available to print after you record the time for your race, but no medals will be given for the virtual races.

VIRTUAL RESULTS:
There will be various ways to submit your time for the Virtual Half Marathon, 10K and 5K including clicking the Results button above or click here. Times are not collected for the 2 Mile Walk and the Munchkin Run.  Click Here for a detailed explanation of the various options for submitting your time for the Virtual Run or if you are having trouble submitting a time.  The time frame for completing the Virtual run is from July 14-26. NOTE: You will not be able to submit your time until Saturday, July 26. 

HOW DO I GET MY VIRTUAL RUN TSHIRT?
T-shirts will be available for pickup during business hours at the Aberdeen YMCA starting August 12th

Those who would like to receive their race shirt via mail can choose that option during the registration process for an additional $5.00.  Your shirt would be mailed out after August 12th if the shipping option is chosen.
