About Additional May Clinics

Fix- A - Flat Clinic: Everyone's fear -- in the middle of a race or long ride, you hear the pshhhh and see sealant spraying everywhere. Brian West, from Big Sky Bikes, will go over how to fix a flat, to keep you feeling confident on all your rides. He'll go over plugging a hole in a tubeless set up, and taking off a tire and changing a tube. This clinic will have some hands-on aspects, though depending on how many people come, it is possible not everyone will have an opportunity to try it physically themselves.

Saddle Clinic: Getting used to a bike saddle can be ... trying. Dr. Talia Sopp will go over some of the intricacies of saddle fit, what to wear to be most comfortable and not get the dreaded saddle sores, and the different types of saddles available. She'll focus on female anatomy for this clinic, but all women and gender expansive people are welcome.

Train your Brain (For The Dusty Bandita): There's no question biking the Dusty Bandita (or any race) requires strength, grit, and stamina--from your quads and glutes propelling you forward to the stabilization you get through your core. But it also requires strength training for your mind as races are mentally tough, taxing, and ultimately rewarding.

Becca Barcom, LCPC and Kristen Byrne, PCLC of the Montana Center for Somatic Psychotherapy (and both Alphas!) are leading this clinic for women+ riders who want to learn and practice tangible resourcing techniques to decrease the anxiety and overwhelm that might come with racing.
