Anadel Speaks presents Hope in Motion!
You are warmly invited to this year's Hope in Motion 5K, hosted by the Anadel Speaks Foundation, taking place at the breathtaking Bachman Lake Park in Dallas, Texas. Lace up your shoes and join this heart-to-heart stride as we come together to stand in solidarity with children in need—especially those who’ve endured the trauma of sexual violence—and uplift communities across sub‑Saharan Africa and beyond.

Why we run—and why you matter!
Every step at Hope in Motion is a message of love, resilience, and possibility:

• Your support helps us build a safe shelter in Africa for children who have been victims of child sexual abuse.
• Our mission is to heal, restore, and reintegrate these children into their communities with the care, tools, and love they deserve.
• You join with us in abating the scourge of child sexual abuse (CSA) by deploying support and initiatives to prevent CSA, educate children and families, and rehabilitate child survivors.
• Every entry, every donation, and every cheer sends a ripple of hope to a child needing hope and a second chance.

Together, on the shores of Bachman Lake—with its peaceful waters, trails winding through nature, and planes gliding overhead—we will send one loud, clear message: Every child deserves safety. Every voice deserves to be heard. And every race toward hope is worth the run.

Location: Bachman Lake Park, 3500 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75220
Entrance for parking and the race starting line is at the intersection of W. Northwest Hwy. and Lakefield Blvd. Upon entering, make an immediate right to access the main parking lot or a left for overflow parking. Attendants will be on-site to assist with directing guests to check-in and the welcome area near the pavilion.

Starting & Finish Line: Near Historic Lakeside Pavilion (see Historic Pavilion for an image of the pavilion)

Stay after for music, reflections, and refreshments!

Race Day Schedule
7:30am - Packet Pickup (reserved for participants who did NOT attend packet pick-up prior to the race)
8:10am - Opening Remarks
8:15am - Interactive Warm-Up
8:30am - 5K Start
9:45am - Course closes
9:50am - Awards 

10am- 12pm - Vendor Exhibit, Music and Kids activities continued!

Bachman Lake Park is the perfect place for our race!
With a shimmering 205-acre lake surrounded by a scenic 3–3.5 mile paved trail, Bachman Lake offers an inspiring path for runners and walkers alike. The park comes alive with nature’s beauty—watch playful ducks and geese, admire ancient cypress trees, and catch spectacular views of planes taking off and landing at nearby Love Field.

We’re excited to offer a Virtual Hope in Motion 5K for those who want to participate in support of our cause from across the nation and around the world.

Every virtual participant will receive a digital bib, and a certificate of completion.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation Policy:

Hope In Motion 5K will proceed rain or shine.  For that reason, please take note of the no refund policy.

In the event of unfavorable weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to an half hour. Past this time, the event course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants. If conditions become unsafe due to lightning or heavy rain/hail or other acts of nature outside of our control, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director. 

Thank you for your understanding of these policies; we appreciate your participation.

If you are unable to participate in the event, or the event is cancelled, packets, shirts, and medals can still be collected. Simply run the race on your own time on your own course. See our virtual race information for complete details.

IS THIS A TIMED EVENT?
Yes. 

IS PARKING FREE?
Parking at lots near check-in are free, yes.  Locating of overflow parking is at the participant's discretion.  We do not assume responsibility for any damage to parked vehicles. Please secure any valuables. 

CAN I PICK UP A PACKET FOR A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER?
Yes.  For easy pick-up please have QR codes for each registered participant for whom you are picking up a packet.

ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT?
Yes. Family and friends can cheer you on but may not walk or run with you unless they have registered. 

ARE STROLLERS AND WHEELCHAIRS ALLOWED?
Yes. For the safety of all, we ask that strollers and wheelchairs start behind the larger group of racers to avoid any collisions. Also, please adhere to the 1-hour course time limit.

IS THE RACE OPEN TO WALKERS?
Yes. Walkers are welcomed. Please be courteous of others and start behind the larger group of racers to avoid any collisions. Also, please adhere to the 1-hour time limit.

IS THE COURSE HILLY OR FLAT?
Mostly flat with some elevation changes at bridge structure.

CAN I BE GUARANTEED MY SHIRT SIZE?
Participates who register prior to August 19th will secure their preferred shirt size.  We cannot honor requests to switch shirt sizes until after check-in closes on RACE DAY.

WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO CHECK PERSONAL BELONGINGS?
No. Please minimize the number of valuables you bring to the race.
