Make your miles matter by running or walking with the Walk the Walk Foundation team. Your participation helps provide essential items like diapers, school supplies, and Christmas gifts - to children in need within our community.

This is your only opportunity to cross the stunning Chesapeake Bay Bridge on foot! The 10K course spans the eastbound side of the bridge, from Anne Arundel County to Kent Island, and ends with a lively post-race celebration.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to continue improving the lives of those we serve.

IMPORTANT GEAR CHECK INFOMATION


RUNNER’S GEAR CHECK is NOT AVAILABLE on Race Day OR at the Satellite pick up locations .  Unique to this event, there is NO Gear Check available on race day.  If you want to check gear to change into after the race, it MUST be left at the expo on Saturday.  Participants (not fans) may check items as long as they fit in a small bag or backpack.  If you do not have a bag we will have some available.  There will be labels at the table to write your bib number on and affix to the bag handle.   We will transport the items to the finish line for pick up on Sunday after you cross the finish line.  THE RACE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS.  Items on the Do Not Bring list are not allowed to be checked.  We will not check oversized bags or luggage.


The Saturday Expo is the ONLY location where you can check a bag with a post-race change of clothes.  PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND one of the satellite pick up locations if you want to utilize bag check.  Bags will be provided if you do not have one.

Participant Parking & Shuttles

THERE IS NO DROP OFF OR PARKING FOR RUNNERS AT THE START LINE.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BOARD A SHUTTLE FOR TRANSPORT TO THE STARTING LINE. YOU MUST BE WEARING YOUR RACE BIB TO BOARD A PARTICIPANT SHUTTLE. 
 NO Private Buses Allowed at the Start Line – Runners must Depart and Get Screened at one of our Designated Parking Lots

 

SHUTTLE OVERVIEW


Participant shuttle buses will depart every 15-20 minutes from 6 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. The start time you selected during registration will dictate which of the start waves you are assigned to.  YOU MUST BOARD YOUR BUS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME. If you decide that you need to change you wave start time, you can do so up until October 20.  There will be no changing of waves after this date.

NOTE: Because this is a chip-timed race, your race time will not start until you cross the timing mat at the start line. However, if you are competing for an overall award, please select the 7:00 a.m. wave (WAVE A) for your start time.

  
WHAT TO BRING


Participants will be screened prior to boarding the shuttle bus.  Please follow these guidelines.  All bags and persons are subject to search.  PARTICIPANTS MUST DISPLAY THEIR BIB TO BOARD ANY BUS TO THE START LINE.


Participants are permitted to bring: 

  • Fanny Packs
  • Hydration Belts or Packs (please bring it full to the start of the race.)
  • Cups or Bike Bottles  (please bring a full bottle to the start of the race.)
  • One-Gallon Clear Bags

Participants are NOT ALLOWED to bring

  • Spectators/Friends/Family
  • Strollers or Baby Carriers
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Back Packs for gear
  • Glass Containers
  • Weapons of Any Kind
  • Costumes or Masks  (PPE masks ok)
  • Flags larger than 11" x 17"
  • Drones
      

Not permitted are:

  • Costume Masks
  • Face Paint
  • Any gaiter that covers portions of the head above the ears
  • Any mask with facial images printed or drawn on them.
     
PARKING DETAILS

There are several designated event parking lots.  Participant parking and shuttles will be available at four locations western shore in Annapolis and at two eastern shore locations. Participants can catch a shuttle to the start area from any of the participant parking areas. YOU MUST BOARD YOUR BUS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME. Participant Shuttles will pick up from 6:00 am until 7:45 am   PLEASE NOTE:  MAKE SURE YOU BOARD THE PROPER BUS.  DO NOT BOARD A SPECTATOR BUS OR YOU WILL BE STRANDED WITH NO MEANS TO GET TO THE START. There is no race day sales of parking passes.  Be sure to order your parking pass during registration PARKING PASSES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED FOR EACH LOT. YOU MUST PARK AT THE LOT YOU HAVE A PASS FOR.


WESTERN SHORE LOCATIONS

Navy Marine Corp Stadium (BLUE LOT)

Enter through Gates 1 & 2 off Farragut Rd. Only.  Taylor Ave entrances are for buses only

Spectator Parking & Shuttles

NEW IN 2026.  THERE IS NO SPECTATOR PARKING AT ANY OF THE PARTICIPANT LOTS.
THERE IS NO SPECTATOR PARKING AT ANY PARTICIPANT LOT

All spectators are required to park at the Purple Lot located at Kent Island High School and Matapeake Elementary School.  (purple pass holders can park in either lot on a first come first serve basis.) There will be NO SHUTTLES to the finish line from any participant lot in 2026.  (Nor will there be any participant shuttles from the Purple Lot.)

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SPECTATORS

DUE TO SECURITY RESTRICTIONS, THERE IS NO SPECTATOR PARKING AT EITHER THE START OR FINISH AREA. 

YOU MUST PARK THE DESIGNATED SPECTATOR PARKING LOT AND RIDE A SHUTTLE BUS TO THE FINISH LINE. 

THE LAST SPECTATOR BUSES WILL LEAVE THE PURPLE LOT AT 8:30AM.  PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.  Shuttles will pick up from 6:30 am until 8:30 am and return from the finish area until 1 pm.  

SPECTATORS MAY NOT DROP OFF RUNNERS AT THE STARTING AREA. THERE IS HANDICAP ACCESS PROVIDED AT ALL SPECTATOR PARKING LOTS. 

WHO CAN RIDE THE SPECTATOR BUSES?

Anybody can ride the shuttles from the spectator lots to the finish area. After the race, runners may also travel on these shuttles with family to get back to the spectator lots.  There is no charge to ride on these buses. Participants wishing to start the race should NOT board a spectator bus from one of the designated event lots.  These buses DO NOT go to the start line.  There are separate Participant Shuttle Buses for participants only. 

HOW DO SPECTATORS GET TO THE START LINE?

Unfortunately, due to space limitations and security concerns we are not able to accommodate spectating at the start area on the Northrop Grumman property. Family and friends should NOT drive the participants to the Northrop Grumman property, nearby roads or Sandy Point State Park on race morning. Bay Bridge Police will monitor these locations and send all traffic back to Annapolis to the designated parking areas listed below.

WHAT IF I HAVE A MIXED VEHICLE OF PARTICIPANTS  & SPECTATORS?

If you have a mixed car of participants and spectators, you will drop off the participant(s) at one of the Participant Lots with a designated drop off location and park in the Purple Lot (Kent Island High School.)  PLEASE NOTE, the bridge remains OPEN throughout the event.  The race uses only one span of the bridge and two-way traffic runs on the other span. Spectators from the western shore will cross the Bay Bridge and park on the eastern shore.

After the race, your group of both spectators and participants can board the bus back to the Purple Lot and leave together in your vehicle.

Solid Colored Neck Gaiter style masks (fabric covering in the form of a closed loop worn around the neck that can extend to cover the lower part of the face)

The finish area for the race is located in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park in Stevensville, Maryland. School buses will depart from Log Canoe Circle adjacent to the post-race party zone every 15-20 minutes from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Each bus will be clearly marked on the front window and side with the lot destination so that riders know which bus to take.
