13th Annual Beat the Bridge 10k & 5k - presented by Marine Chevy
Conquer TWO bridges at the 13th Annual Beat the Bridge 10K/5K event in lovely downtown Jacksonville, NC on January 23, 2027. This event will showcase the charm of the city, the collaboration between the military and local communities, and the resilience and positivity of local athletes. Plus, a portion of the proceeds will support Semper Fi & America's Fund. Join us virtually from anywhere and register for one of our virtual categories.

Information for Virtual Participants
Thank you for signing up to participate in our event virtually! You can run anywhere or anytime between January 10-17. You can submit your results under the RESULTS TAB. Once we receive your results we will ship out your package. We will start shipping the medals and a free gift starting January 22nd. If you purchased any items from our store, we will include those in your package. If you want to pick up your race packet, please contact our race director at marisa@josc-nc.com.

FAQs
Does everyone receive a finisher medal?
Yes, but only those that participate in the race in person or complete it virtually will receive a finisher medal. If the race is sold out and the other option to register is the no medal option then that participant will not receive a medal.
Does everyone get a race shirt?
Only those that purchase them separately. In order to keep our races affordable we have the race shirt as an optional cost.
Is the course certified?
No, this course is not certified.
Where does the race start and end?
Sturgeon City, 50 Court Street Jacksonville
Where do I park?
You can park at Sturgeon City, Sturgeon City Park, Riverwalk Park, Kerr Street park and street parking around downtown Jacksonville.
Are bikes allowed?
No, bikes are not allowed on the course.
Are dogs allowed to run with us?
No, unfortunately our insurance does not allow dogs unless they are a certified service dog.
Where do the proceeds go?
The proceeds are divided between us and Semper Fi & America’s Fund. Both of us are 501(c)3 non profit organizations.
Do you offer photos?
We have volunteer photographers on the course and will post the photos on RunSignUp after the race.
What is the JOSC Race Series?
The JOSC Race Series is a running series that was started in 2019. All races occur in Onslow County, NC and runners earn points towards being the first, second or third place winners overall. In addition you receive exclusive discounts on all the races in the series (once you race in at least one) and you receive exclusive restaurant discounts on race weekends.
Do you offer awards for 1st place and top overall?
Yes! We give first place awards in the following age groups and Top Overall to Male, Female, Male Master and Female Master.
