Berkley Common Classic 5K

The Berkley Common Classic 5K is a brand-new hometown tradition celebrating community, connection, and the beauty of Berkley, Massachusetts.

Starting and finishing on the historic Berkley Town Common, this scenic 5K course takes runners through quiet country roads, shaded stretches, and the charming backroads that define our town. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or enjoying a walk with family and friends, this course offers a welcoming and memorable experience for participants of all ages and abilities.

Runners will begin on the Common before heading out along a thoughtfully designed loop that winds through Berkley’s peaceful neighborhoods and natural surroundings. With gentle turns, open stretches, and a supportive community cheering you on, the course brings together the best of small-town charm and classic road racing.

This inaugural race is part of Berkley’s celebration of community and tradition—with the goal of establishing an annual event that residents and visitors alike can look forward to year after year.

Race Start Time: 10:00 AM (Registration Opens at 8:30 AM)

Course Information

We will have volunteers wearing safety vests stationed at turns throughout the course, along with directional signage to help guide runners and walkers. We ask all participants to pay attention to course volunteers and signage along the route.

Mile markers will be posted for approximately Mile 1, Mile 2, and Mile 3. While they may not be exact to the foot, they are intended to provide helpful reference points for runners throughout the race.

Start at the top of the Berkley Common
Right onto Sanford Street (stay on the right side of the road)
Right onto Shannon Drive (cross to the left side of the road)
Left onto Christine Court (stay on the left side)
Left onto Berkley Street (stay on the left side)
Left onto Sanford Street (stay on the left side)
Left onto South Main Street
Finish at the Common

Water & Hydration

A water station will be available on Christine Court.

The Hydration Station will be located just beyond the finish line, where the registration area was previously set up, and will provide:

All race participants are welcome to stop by and rehydrate after completing the course.
