About Big Mack Sprint Triathlon
Coming in 2026, presented by Trivium Racing is..... the Big Mack Sprint Triathlon! This race is centrally located in Burlington, NC for easy access and short travel time from almost any spot in the Triad. Not only that, but the event venue itself is one not to miss! Nestled in Lake Cammack Park and Marina, this event offers participants and spectators beautiful views of nature and fresh air! The lake usually does not allow swimming so is in pristine condition, the bike ride offers views through the country and the run is a double loop in rustic woods Part of the popular Trivium Multisport Series, this race also gives you the chance to collect medals, earn points, and join the regional multisport community.

Sprint Distance Aquabike Course Info
Sprint: 750 Meter Swim - 14.8 Mile Bike
Looking to swim and ride, but not run? This one is for you! The time trial swim takes place in the beautiful Lake Cammack with tons of course marking and swimmer support. Athletes will exit the marina and complete a rolling 14.8 miles on the bike. This course is extremely well marked and will have officer and/or volunteers at every turn! Once you head back into the marina, you will rack your bike in transition where your time will end, then head through the finish line to celebrate your accomplishment!
Sprint Distance Duathlon Course Info
Duathlon: 1.4 Mile Run - 14.8 Mile Bike - 5 Kilometer Run
Looking for another duathlon to add to your calendar? Here is the one for you! With a beautiful 1.4 mile run to start you will get to see the beautiful trails that surround the Lake Cammack Marina, then head out on a rolling 14.8 mile bike course that will have officers and/or volunteers at every turn! Once you return from your ride, you will head out for two more laps on the run course to complete your day.
Sprint Distance Triathlon Course Info
Sprint: 750 Meter Swim - 14.8 Mile Bike - 5 Kilometer Run
Big Mack Sprint Tri will be a great addition to your triathlon calendar! The time trial swim takes places in a clear lake with tons of course marking and swimmer support. Athletes will exit the marina and complete a rolling 14.8 miles on the bike. This course is extremely well marked and has officers and volunteers at most turns! On the run athletes will make their way through to the scenic trail that surrounds the marina and complete two loops of this beautiful run course.
USA Triathlon Event
- This is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event. All athletes are required to show ID in order to pick up their packet - no exceptions.
- Please familiarize yourself with the USAT competitive rules to make sure that you are compliant

Virtual Race Instructions
To complete your virtual race and receive your finisher medal and shirt, follow these steps:
- Complete your sprint triathlon at a place and time of your choosing.
- Track your time with a watch or fitness app.
- Report your time on our results page by clicking "Submit Virtual Results". Results can be submitted anytime between June 1st and June 20th. Don't forget to share your virtual race selfies too! If you have trouble, here's a step-by-step guide!
Shirts and finisher medals will be mailed within 10 days of the in-person race day.
Please double check that your mailing address is correct on your registration before race day. No packets will be available after June 30th.
Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
Any changes to virtual on or after race day will be subject a shipping charge.

- 7:30 AM | Race Start - this will be a rolling start based on personal swim times. This is not a formal time trial start, so the order is just to get people in a place where they won’t be in the way of each other based on pace. There will be a timing mat at the swim start for you to step on as you start and record your start time.

Parking
There will be plenty of parking in and around the marina. Transition area and the finish line will be in the marina parking lot. Please follow the volunteers and signs to park.
Timing and Awards
Awards for top three overall male and female finishers in all events. Awards for top three male and female age group placers (age groups every 5 years according to USA Triathlon regulations).

Awards not picked up on race day will be subject to a $10 shipping fee. Awards will only be mailed 2 weeks from the event date.
