What is the Bike City Fondo?

Love to ride?  This event has options for everyone!  Road riding, gravel grinder, paved trail system; there are courses for all riders, no matter your riding level!  Bring your club, team, friends and/or family for a day of excellent riding and relax with a beer and refreshments at the finish.

Want to explore the back roads?  Our road options which get you out of town onto the open roads quickly, with mileage to meet your goals. Feeling more adventurous?  Or go for a gravel option. Our gravel course will take you south, out of Fayetteville and wind you through a variety of terrain.  First event ride?  Want to stay on the paved trail? We have that as well!  And enjoy some amazing aid stations...you may be surprised by the wide array of goodies provided our great sponsors.

All ride options include a finisher medal, ride t-shirt and post race food and beverages!  Join the fun!

Aid Stations

  • 65 and 105 mile Courses: Will have an aid station every 15 - 20 miles
  • 30 mile Course: Will have one at Mile 11
  • Lucky 13:  We will be waiting with cold beverages and food at the finish line!
  • Gravel Grinders: 44 mile will have one near mile 19.  70 mile will be near mile 19 and 51.
  • Paved Trail Riders: - there are water stations along the trail and of course we will have cold beverages and food at the finish!

During the event a participant of the BCF will have access to the premium features at no charge of RWGPS. Just make sure to download the app to your device and then download the respective course for offline use. Those features include voice navigation and navigation without cellphone service.

105 Mile - This takes you south on Hwy 71 through Rudy AR, down a stunning backroad to Hwy 220, which is a bike gem!  Looping back towards Fayetteville through Devil's Den State Park and Hogeye.  Even the locals praised this course as one of the best routes they have ridden.

65 mile  - This is the same route used by the UCI Men and Women during the Joe Martin Stage Race (except for the last couple miles to the finish).  It takes you south on Hwy 71 through Winslow and into Devil's Den State Park.  After the switchbacks and climb out of Devl's Den you will loop back into Fayettteville through Hogeye.  

30 mile - This route takes you south on Hwy 71 through West Fork over to Hogeye and back into Fayetteville on Hwy 265.

Lucky 13 - This route takes you south into Greenland and loops back with a hill climb followed by a downward descent almost all the way to the finish line!!  Less than 600' of elevation gain.

Gravel 44 - Enjoy some climbing as well as riding along the creek on this route.  You will loop through the backroads of Brentwood and West Fork before coming back into Fayetteville.

Paved Razorback Greenway Options - Family Friendly!  New to bike riding? Try one of the following routes...

  • Walker Park Loop - Check out the 4 mile loop!  Starting from Walker Park, enjoy a 4-mile loopthrough Fayetteville's Southtown. Heading counterclockwise, this route links large sections of Fayetteville's paved trail network with widen side paths along Razorback Rd. to create a fun loop that starts and ends from the park. With only 107ft of elevation change, you'll find this route to be mostly flat.
  • Day on the Greenway - Ready for a bit more of a challenge but not the open road yet? Spend the day on the Razorback Greenway with this 21 mile ride from Walker Park around Lake Fayetteville.
  • Park to Park - Visit Fayetteville's first two public parks on this 5.4 mile route

Where is the start of the event?

What if I want to change to a different distance?

If it is before the ride begins please inform our registration person, who will change your distance.  If during the ride you decide to change distances, please let the timer or one of our staff members know after you cross the finish line, so the results are correct!  We will need your bib #, name and distance you completed.

Where do I park?

There are several parking lots within the park, as well as limited on street parking. 

What is available at the aid stations?

Water and electrolytes will be available at each aid station, plus assorted food items like fruit, pretzels and other treats.

What should I do if I lose by bib, helmet # or timing chip? If you have lost any of your race #'s please return to packet pickup, bring all your remaining numbers with you.  We will assign you a new number.  If you lost your timing chip prior to the race, then a new chip can be issued; however, you will be assigned a new bib # as well.

Where do I place my bib number(s)?

Bike helmet number (if you have one) are typically about 1" by 2" that you will place on the front of your helmet.  A bike frame number which attaches to your seat post with zip ties (provided) or will fold around the seat post and stick together, and a bib that will go on the back of your jersey on the left side above the jersey pocket. The bottom edge of the bib# should go along the back side seam, not the front side seam. The front catches a whole lot of air. Use 7 safety pins…one on each corner, and one each at the middle portion of the top and two sides of the bib. Don’t pin through the corner holes or the bib will flap around.

Do I need a USAC license? No.  However, according to USA Cycling regulations you must sign a waiver either during the registration process or in person when picking up your packet.

Can someone pickup my packet?  No.  You must sign your waiver in person, according to USA Cycling insurance requirements.

What happens if I am unable to participate due to injury / work / illness can I get a refund?  Please refer to our refund policy.

What is the weather policy?  We will ride rain or shine.  We carefully monitor the weather, All Sports Productions in coordination with both local emergency personnel and race officials will make decisions based on safety first.  If weather should occur while on course, please shelter in the nearest safe location.

Can I ride an E Bike on the Gran Fondo rides?  You may ride an E-assisted bike, however you will not be eligible for any awards if applicable.

Refund Policy

We do not process refunds, however..

  • Participants who are unable to race will be allowed to rollover their entry to the following year or apply it to another All Sports Production's owned event in the current year.
  • Participants must contact the Race Director before the race to be eligible for a rollover.
  • Only the entry can be rolled over. Race merchandise can be picked up if applicable.
  • If the event is cancelled, rollovers do not apply and ALL participants will be transferred to the reschedule date of the event.
  • All Sports Productions in coordination with both local emergency personnel and race officials will make decisions based on safety first. Courses and/or race segments may be altered as agreed to between All Sports Productions and race officials.
  • If the event must be cancelled, then a participants' registration will be transferred to the rescheduled event only.  The rescheduled date may not be until the following year's regularly scheduled date.  The transfer is only good for the rescheduled event regardless if the athlete is able to attend.

Safety Protocols

We have safety measures in place to maintain a safe environment, while still allowing a great experience. The overall goal is to limit exposure for all attendees by efficiently keeping people moving and eliminating touch points. Here are some safety protocols we will be implementing:

General Safety

  • Facial coverings (not buffs or neck gaiters) will be required when social distancing cannot be maintained; including at the start and after finishing.  It is the athlete's choice regarding use of a facial covering while riding.
  • Approved disinfectant will be located at high traffic points.
    • Regular disinfecting of common touch points will occur.
  • Port-a-potties and hand washing stations will be located 6’ apart.
  • You will be required to fill out a screening checklist (emailed to you prior to the event) and bring it with you to the event.  
    • If you have any symptoms you will not be allowed to participate in the live event, but can transfer to a challenge event.
  • Safety protocol announcements will be emailed to all participants prior to the event, posted on social media, and announced on PA before/during the event.
  • Spectators are asked to stay home, we will livestream the finish on Facebook.

Registration

  • Registration should be completed prior to arrival.  If needed, any onsite registration will be done via your personal cell phone.
  • Packet pickup will be under a tent at Walker Park at the intersection of 13th and College. Please observe social distancing policies.

Aid Stations

  • Participants need to bring their own hydration.  There will be limited aid stations on course.  Follow social distancing.
  • Food and refreshments will be single serve.

Start / Finish

  • To allow for proper social distancing, starts will be in small groups. allowing participants to spread out.  Please stay clear of the start area until your group is called.  
  • After finishing, please pick up your medal and single serve snacks and refreshments from the designated area.  When waiting for all members of your party, face coverings and social distancing is required.
  • An email will be sent with instructions on viewing your results online.

All Sports Staff Productions staff will be monitoring participants and spectators to observe guidelines for face coverings and social distancing.

Parking:  There are several parking lots located at Walker Park, as well as limited street parking.  If needed there is additional parking at the corner of MLK and S. College behind the old Jefferson Elementary School / Adult Education Center.
