The Bohicket 5K and Half Marathon at Seabrook Island is put on in conjunction with the Kiawah - Seabrook Exchange Club and the Charleston Animal Society and the Charleston Running Club. 

Age group and award breakdown for the Half and 5k.
• Top three overall male and female
• First Master (40 years and older) male and female
• First Grandmaster (50 years and older) male and female
• First Great Grandmaster (60 years and older) male and female• Top 3 Male and Female  in the following age groups(14 and under,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-        69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89 and 90 & over )

• Top 3 Overall Male & Female Age Graded Finishers

This event will be Rain or Shine.

Packet Pick Up:
-Thursday November 19: 11:00AM - 6:00PM at Fleet Feet Mt Pleasant.
-Saturday November 21: Race Site (Seabrook Island, SC 29455) 6:30 - 7:45AM

All proceeds from the race benefit the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club , the  Charleston Running Club and the Charleston Animal Society 

After party refreshments will be provided on the village green at Freshfields Village. 
Awards will be available post run.
Overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards are based on chip time.

In the event the run is canceled, all participants will have the option to defer to 2027 at no additional charge or elect to run on another date if rescheduled.

CAN I REGISTER BY MAIL?
No, all registrations must be completed online. However, walk up registrations will be available on race day until 7:30 am
CAN I REGISTER ON RACE DAY?
Yes, you can register on race day until 7:30 am however runner’s swag bag and/or runner’s shirts are on a first come first serve basis for race day registrations.
CAN I CHANGE MY RACE DISTANCE?
Yes, you may change your race distance online through Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 11:59 pm. Click here and on the Bohicket 5K and Half Marathon Race, "Manage Registration" to change your race distance online.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
The Bohicket Run adheres to standard running industry policy which dictate that registration fees are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your registration to another runner in the same or shorter run distance. Click here and on the Bohicket 5K and Half Marathon Race, click  "Manage Registration" to transfer your registration. All transfers must be initiated before November 16, 2025 at 11:59 pm. You may not transfer your number to another runner for any reason without notifying the Bohicket run on the link provided. You may defer your registration by completing a race deferral form. IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR THE HALF MARATHON?
Yes, all runners must be cleared from Seabrook Island within 3 hours of the start. Runners finishing after 11:15 may not receive an official time and a finisher’s award.
HOW MANY RUNNERS ARE EXPECTED?
We expect approximately 550 runners in the half marathon and 450 runners in the 5k.
ARE T-SHIRTS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE?
Yes, a long sleeve tri-blend shirt will be available for the runners to register for the half marathon and 5k & walkers for the 5k. Virtual participants will recieve shirt in the mail. 
ARE AWARDS BASED ON GUN TIME OR CHIP TIME?
Overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards are based on chip time. 
WHAT IF IT RAINS OR THERE IS A BAD WEATHER EVENT?
Both runs will take place rain or shine. There will be no weather-related refunds. However the event may be cancelled if the Race Committee determines the course is unsafe due to poor weather conditions.
ARE WALKERS, STROLLERS OR DOGS ALLOWED?
Walkers are allowed but due to the pathway on the course strollers are not allowed in either race. Dogs are not allowed in either race due to Seabrook Island restrictions.
ARE THE COURSES CERTIFIED?
Yes, both the 5k and the half marathon are USATF certified
WILL RACE PACKETS BE MAILED?
Race packets will not be mailed but can be picked up at packet pick-up @ Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant - November 20 - 11:00-6:00 or at the Start Line on race day
WHERE DO I PARK FOR THE RACES?
Parking will be provided at the John Island County Park (Mullet Hall). Please see the parking map and shuttle times to and from the start and finish. 
WHAT IS THE COURSE ELEVATION?
The highest course elevation is no more that 5 feet. Both courses are well paved, flat and fast !
CAN I SIGN UP TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

IS THERE A POST RACE CEREMONY?
Yes, there will be a post-race awards ceremony and party on the village green at FreshFields near the finish line. There will be an abundance of refreshments, food and snacks including hot dogs, hot chocolate, and cold beer.
WHAT AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN
Every runner will receive a very nice finisher award and there will be additional awards for overall finishers, masters, grand masters and senior grand masters and 3 deep age group awards from 14 and under to 90 and above in 5-year age groups.
WILL THERE BE PACE RUNNERS?
Yes, the half marathon will have pacers for 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00 hour paces
CAN I PICK UP ANOTHER RUNNERS PACKET?
Yes, you may pick up another runner’s packet by providing your ID such as a driver license.
CAN I DROP MY BAG OFF AT THE START /  PICK UP AFTER THE RACE?
Due to the course changes we will have a bag drop at the start and move the items to the Finish Festival at FreshFields Village.  
IS THE BOHICKET RUN FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES?
Yes, all proceeds from both runs will go to The Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club, the Charleston Animal Society, and the Charleston Running Club. Those organizations support various programs, schools and other non-profit organizations in the local community. The Bohicket Marina Run was founded in 2011 to provide the Low Country running community with a top quality 5K & 10K event. Thanks to the overwhelming support from our runners, The Seabrook Island Community Association, The Town of Seabrook and the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club, the Charleston Animal Society, and the Charleston Running Club, the run has grown every year and is now a top tier 5K & Half Marathon. 
The course is unmatched in its beauty with breathtaking views of the sea island marshes, Atlantic Ocean and canopy of historic trees. Runners are treated to sightings of island deer, exotic birds and numerous native wildlife. The equestrian center offers interaction with local horses that have been known to run alongside the runners (on their side of the fence of course) returning to the finish line. 
Water and Gatorade stations are plentiful on the course and upon returning to the finish line at the FreshFields Village Green runners are treated to an abundance of food and beverages including hot dogs provided by The Salty Dog Restaurant and cold premium beer iced down from the night before! Every effort is made to make the Bohicket Run at Seabrook Island a memorable experience for each of our runners. Every finisher is presented with a large finisher award as they cross the finish line and Pelicans figurines are presented to the top three runners in each age group. Five-year age groups run from under 14 to over 90 in addition to Masters, Grand Masters and Senior Grand Masters. Overall Male and Female age graded Finishers. 
All runners are chipped timed and the course has additional timing mats at the half way point of the Half Marathon. Every runner also receives a heavy canvas beach/tote bag and long sleeve running shirt.

After three years of searching for a permanent solution for race day parking we
have solved the issue. This year and every year in the foreseeable future we will be
able to provide safe, abundant and convenient parking for our runners. We have
contracted with Charleston County to use the Johns Island Park, also known as Mullet
Hall for parking. This area will hold more cars than we could ever have for our run and it
is within an 8 minute drive from the starting line. We will provide buses to carry our
runners from Mullet Hall to the starting line on Seabrook Island. The buses will leave the
park every 30 minutes starting at 6:00 am and the last bus will leave the park at 7:30
am. Drop bags will be provided at the starting line. The buses will also provide
transportation from the finish at Freshfields Village starting at 9:00 am until the last bus
departure from Freshfields at noon.
You can drive to Mullet by way of River Road or by taking Bohicket Rd. to Betsy
Kerrison then left onto River Road. The entrance to Mullet Hall is on River Road
approximately 1 mile from Betsy Kerrison Parkway.

 will be held again at the beautiful Fresh Fields Village to create a run unlike any other. Runners from all over the South East will have the opportunity to enjoy the exclusive Seabrook Island scenery while helping to raise funds for various charities and promoting a healthy lifestyle in addition to providing care and shelter for animals needing help and protection. All proceeds from the Run will benefit programs supported by The Kiawah- Seabrook Exchange Club and will provide much needed funding for the wonderful work being done at the Charleston Animal Society. We also support the Charleston Running Club and their community service activities.
