Boston Mini-Marathon & Festival

The Boston Mini Marathon and 5K races are certified and professionally timed. They start in downtown Boston, wind through our farm land community and out into the fresh October country air. The entire route is paved, lined with refreshment stands every 2.5 miles and porta-potties at miles 2, 5, 7, and 11. The rolling hills are not extreme, though the final stretch can be a nice uphill challenge. At the finish line are healthy eats and drinks for each participant designed to speed your recovery. After that, roam around the downtown area and enjoy the festival of food, drinks and family-style southern hospitality!

PACKET PICK-UP opens the day before the race from 6:30-8:30 PM and again on race day from 6:30-7:30 AM at the Boston Community Center, located at 112 N Main Street, Boston, GA 31626. The race start location is at 118 E Jefferson Street. Parking is available at the Presbyterian Church on West Jefferson Street. For those traveling east on HWY 84, take a right at the Boston Cotton Gin onto Old 84 (which becomes W Jefferson Street). 

Race day registration will be available at the Boston Community Center.

Races end at approximately 11:00 AM followed by an awards ceremony and a parade around 11:30 AM. There will be restaurants, food vendors, arts & crafts vendors, kids events. The entertainment band will start at 12:30 PM, located downtown in beautiful Watt Park. A Trunk or Treat kids event will start at 6:30 PM downtown.

Boston sponsors a city-wide festival for race participants, their family and friends to enjoy during and after the races. Take a leisure walk around downtown, visiting the unique shops, craft booths and restaurants. Stick around for the local parade and see how this southern town makes everyone feel at home!
