4th Annual Braille Trail Walk for Independence

Join us for the Braille Trail Walk supporting Lions Services, a Charlotte nonprofit empowering blind and low vision adults. Walk 2 miles on the Charlotte Braille Trail at Lions Services or join virtually from anywhere! Participants of all abilities are welcome. Volunteer walking guides will be available.

Our Cause: As Charlotte grows, we are ensuring it grows inclusively. Our impact is measured by barriers removed: when a career path is open, when healthcare is equitable, and when technology is a bridge rather than a divide. By engineering this new reality today, we are protecting the independence and opportunity of the thousands of North Carolinians facing vision loss tomorrow. Your support creates greater inclusion for people who are blind or low vision. 100% of proceeds support our programs.

Awards will be presented to the Largest Teams and Top Fundraisers on the day of the Walk.

Event Day Schedule:
8:30 AM – Packet Pick-Up
8:40 AM – Welcome & Announcements
9:00 AM – Walk Starts
10:00 AM–12:00 PM – Celebration with food, music, and giveaways

Refund & Weather Policy: Registration is non-refundable. Event held rain or shine unless severe weather occurs; updates via social media, website, and email.

Ask your friends, family and coworkers to join you by registering for the walk and donating to your fundraiser. Simply register online under your team and start raising money to win prizes: 

Raise $1,000+: Large camouflage backpack crafted by visually impaired employees.

Raise $500: Medium camouflage backpack made by visually impaired employees.

Raise $250: Small camouflage backpack made by visually impaired employees.
