Bridge of Lions 5K 

The 42nd Annual Bridge of Lions 5K is back! Join us downtown for this can’t-miss St. Augustine tradition. Runners and walkers will start at the historic Castillo de San Marcos in downtown St. Augustine, cross the iconic Bridge of Lions, and wind through beautiful Davis Shores. The race finishes at Oglethorpe Park on Anastasia Island, where participants will receive a custom-designed finisher medal and enjoy snacks, refreshments, and post-race fun. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this classic event—registration is limited to 1,550 participants!

We would like to amp up our competitive spirit. You can create or join a team. Awards will be given to both the fastest and largest team. Run St. Augustine's 5K together!

Referral Rewards

Shirts will be guaranteed to everyone who registers by 7/1/2025. Shirts will be given to participants who have not pre-registered on a first come, first serve basis.

Awards

Overall Male and Female winners of the 5K will receive awards.

1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes will be awarded to both male and female runners in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 & above

Pre Race Packet Pick Up will be located at the Guy Harvey Resort in St. Augustine Beach on Friday, July 11th from 11:30am - 4:00pm. Details have been and will be sent to participants. 

Race Day Packet Pick Up will begin 6am to 7:15 July 12th at the Start Line at 1 South Castillo Dr. St. Augustine, FL 32084

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is included in the registration fee?

Race bib, custom shirt,  finisher's medal and post race nourishment.

2. Is the event chip timed?

Yes!! All live participants will receive a bib with a timing chip. Results will be posted on RaceSmith.com AND RunSignup!

3. Will there be age group awards?

Awards will start at 9:00 AM for the 5K. Our awards will be given to top Male and Female overall, top 3 Male and Female in 5 year age groups, starting with 9 and under up to 80 and above!  We will not be posting them at the venue, you may log in to our results page to view them as participants finish. PLEASE do not crowd the finish line to cheer on your buddies, we know this is a fun part of racing but we want to continue to exercise with caution.  Awards not picked up will be held at Service Pros USA for ONE WEEK ONLY so please make arrangements to have them picked up if you cannot stay after the event.

4. Will there be water on the course?

Yes. Hydration will be on course.

5. What about strollers? Dogs, bikes, roller blades, skateboards, etc. are NOT allowed on the course. Strollers are allowed on the course.  If you are running with a stroller, please start at the back of the pack and yield to all other runners/walkers. 

6. Is there race day registration? Cards & apply Pay accepted.

Yes, but shirts are not guaranteed. Registration will remain open race morning.  

7. Can I pick up a packet for a friend?

Yes, assuming registration was online and all waivers were signed.

8. Where can I park? There is parking on both ends of the race, near the START (Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, 1 S Castillo Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084) and the FINISH (Oglethorpe Park.) The distance between both locations is under a mile. Participants in the past typically chose to park at either location and walk back to their vehicle after the race.

Race Timing & Scoring

The race will be professionally scored and timed at the start and finish by Hasselmania Productions LLC. The race will be timed using disposable, electronic tags attached to the bib number.  Please wear your bib number to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered.  Results will be posted at the race and then online immediately following the race at  www.RaceSmith.com
