Brigantine Ugly Sweater Run & Family Frolic

Put on your ugliest sweater and join Green Whales, Inc. for Our Third Annual Ugly Sweater Run & Family Frolic on Saturday, November 29th.  With the option to run or walk, this race is a great way for participants of all ages to celebrate Small Business Saturday on our beautiful island of Brigantine, NJ.  The event starts and ends at The Brigantine Community Center followed by a celebration at The Cove Bar & Grill with hot cocoa, coffee, desserts & ugly sweater contests for all participants and volunteers at the conclusion of the race.

RACE RULES

5K and 10K

Please refer to the maps section to view course for each distance. Courses will go over paved roads. Some areas may have sand/gravel. Please take caution. 

WALK

The course will go over paved roads.  Strollers are welcome for small children (4 and under) and infants.  We will do our best to guarantee a medal for all family members, but there may be some limitations based on final participant counts.  

ONE MILE FUN RUN

The fun run will follow the same course as the walk.  This event is open to ages 14 and under. 

The running events and walk will start at staggered times.

CHECK-IN ON RACE DAY

Check-in tables will be set up at the Brigantine Community Center beginning at 9:00am.  All participants must be checked in by 9:45am (15 mins prior to the race).  Participants in the 5K and 10k and Mile Run will receive their bibs and timing chips at this time.  

Participants must be pre-registered/paid online prior to checking-in; online registration closes at 8:45am!

(*Run only) Timing chips will be part of your bib.  Please make sure to pick up and wear your bib for accurate times and finisher place. 

SEVERE WEATHER PLAN

This event is "rain or shine," meaning that the race will be held even in inclement weather.  However, Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel this event if conditions are determined to be unsafe for participants.  This includes but is not limited to severe thunderstorms with lightening, snow, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc., or any other conditions as dictated by local authorities.   An email, text, and/or social media broadcast will be sent out advising if a cancellation will occur.  While no refund will be given, participants will receive a discount coupon to participate in a future Green Whales Racing, Inc. event.
