Sunday, June 7th, 2026.  The race starts at 9am near Rotary Park/Lansing Shuffle, followed by brunch at The View.

Pricing: 5k run/walk with Brunch $45 until May 15th, $50 until June 4th. Virtual 5k run/walk $40.  Brunch only $30 until May 15th, $35 until June 4th. 

Registration will remain open until the capacity of 200 is reached. 

Early Packet Pickup: Saturday June 6th from 10am to 2pm at Playmakers, 2299 W Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864

Race Day packet pickup will begin at 8:00 AM at the race start/finish area. 

Awards: Overall award to Male, Female and Non-Binary. First place Male and Female in age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.  

Virtual participants: Please run/walk anytime in the month of May and June. (You can pick up your t-shirt during packet pick-up). Please note virtual participants are not eligible for age group awards.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Your results will be live after the race and available on this website!

Course Map

The race has us in the heart of downtown Lansing, on the River Trail, with a common start and finish at Rotary Park/Lansing Shuffle.  Brunch is at Lansing Brewing Company, a short walk from the race start/finish line.

Brunch information

The bRUNch portion will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at The View.  

Brunch includes scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, hash browns, and fresh fruit.  Cash bar for Mimosas, Bloody Marys and other beverages other than water or coffee.

Refer a friend to participate with you and you'll receive a $5 refund.  You will receive a unique referral URL once you register for the race, share that url with a friend, once they register you will receive a $5 refund on your credit card. Shirts are guaranteed with entry by May 25th.  T-shirts are available in unisex sizes Small thru XXLarge.  A no shirt option is also available. 2025 T-shirt shown, 2026 shirt may vary in color.

Where do the proceeds go?  Proceeds and donations for this race will go to the Junior League of Lansing to support their mission and community partners. The Junior League of Lansing is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.  The focus of the Junior League of Lansing is food, shelter and access to food and shelter.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  We work closely with and support many community partners, including the Greater Lansing Food Bank, Haven House, Ele’s Place, Child and Family Charities, City Rescue Mission, Weekend Survival Kits and many more.

JLL funds to help Greater Lansing Food Bank to purchase 48 coolers for fresh milk distribution. in 2019.

Is there a Packet Pick Up?

Yes.

What are the T-shirt sizes?
Your entry fee includes a T-Shirt if registered by May 30th. Unisex Adult sizes Small thru XXX Large are available.

Are baby joggers and strollers allowed?
Yes. We do ask that you line up in the back at the start of the race.

What is the course like? 

The course is a mostly paved trail with some boardwalk portions and has moderate elevation changes.

Are Dogs Allowed?
No. For the safety of the participants and the dogs we ask that you not bring your dog. In addition the park does not allow dogs.

Can I wear headphones? Sure, there's nothing like some good tunes while you run. We just ask that you can still hear and are aware of your surroundings.

How does the referral program work? After you register you will receive a unique referral URL, share that with a friend. Whey they register using that unique URL you will receive a $5 refund. The refund will happen automatically within Run Signup and will appear on your credit card you paid with.  The referral is good for one use.

This is my first 5k run/walk, what should I expect?  Congrats, we're excited to have you! Race day morning arrive to the race about 1 hour to park and get checked in where you'll receive your bib # and your t-shirt. Wear the bib (your race number) on the outermost layer on your torso, we provide safety pins to pin it to your shirt. Pin in all four corners so the number doesn't flap when you're running/walking. You do not need to check in on race day morning if you pick up your packet at early packet pickup.  Prior to the race the announcer will call everyone up to the start line. The speedy racers will line up at the front, everyone else files in behind them. If you are running with a stroller we ask that you line up at the back.  The race will start and off you go! There are plenty of other participants and course support to guide you along the way.  Refreshments will be available as well. We'll text you your results, and we'll also have a QR code for you to scan to pull up your results. Lastly and most importantly HAVE FUN! You'll love the energy from the race!

Are there refunds? This event will be held rain or shine, there are no refunds for this event. As you can image there is a lot of planning that goes into an event and t-shirts, medals, etc. all have to be ordered ahead of time. If the race is cancelled for any reason we will be unable to offer refunds, or if your plans change and you already signed up we are unable to offer refunds.
