Camp Leavenworth 5K

Now in its 5th year!

Open to runners and walkers, this unique and fun event features stunning views from the bluffs of the Missouri River on closed-to-traffic roads.

• Age-group awards in 10-year increments (14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; etc.) plus top male and female w/stroller

Walkers welcome! Stollers welcome. Bicycles and Dogs (except service animals) are not allowed.

Minimum age: 14 to run on your own. Children under 14 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire course.

The Course

Begins and ends in historic downtown Leavenworth, KS.

Check In

Participants are encouraged to pick up their bibs and t-shirts on Friday Sept 18 at Camp Leavenworth from 5-8pm. Late registration will also be available at Friday check-in. 

Race morning pickup from 8:00am to 9:00am at the start area.

Parking
Downtown Leavenworth has several free lots within a block or two from the starting line. 

 
Aid Stations
There will be two aid stations with water and Gatorade at mile 1 and mile 3.

Prizes
Our race will feature some local elite runners competing for prize money. We ask that walkers stay to the right of the course so that runners can easily pass. At start time, those who plan to run the course will start first, followed by those walking the course. The stroller division will start last.

Participants over 14 are eligible for age-group prizes, which will be awarded to the top three males and females in each age group: 
14-18; 19-29; 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The top male and female stroller runners also receive an award.

Kids and Families

Kids over the age of 14 may run on their own. Children under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times on the course. Strollers are welcome; stroller riders need not register (parent must register; child in stroller doesn't need to).
