Camp Letts Turkey Chase Charity Race

Welcome! Turkey Chase is the largest community event for YMCA Camp Letts and plays an essential role in raising money for our community. Attended by up to 1,000 runners and their families in the past, Turkey Chase is the perfect opportunity to give back to the community while helping children have a memorable and transformative summer camp experience.

Funds raised from Turkey Chase help Camp Letts in a few critical ways. As Camp Letts sees 3,000+ campers visit each summer and has over 20 individual buildings, funds help with the maintenance and upkeep of aging facilities.    Additionally, because of the dollars we raise, we are able to invite campers to attend on a scholarship who otherwise may have missed out on the experience.

Race Day Schedule:

• 7:00 am: packet pickup opens
• 8:20 am: road closes & flag raise/national anthem
• 8:25 am: registration closes
• 8:30 am: 10k start
• 8:45 am: 5k start
• 9:45 am: awards ceremony & road opens

You will need to know your bib number in order to pickup your bib and get your t-shirt.

Packet Pickup

All race bibs and t-shirts will be picked up at the YMCA Bethesda Chevy Chase - 9401 Old Georgetown Road Bethesda, MD 20814.

Schedule

• 11/22 Tuesday: 10:00AM to 8:00PM
• 11/23 Wednesday: 10:00AM to 8:00PM
• 11/24 Thursday (Race Day): 6:30AM to 8:45AM

Early packet pickup is highly encouraged to avoid lines on race day!

Download the App!

Download the RTRT.me Mobile App at https://rtrt.me/app/turkeychase and select the 2022 Turkey Chase event. Participants, Family & Friends can all use Live Results to share in the excitement. On race day, spectators can get status of participants in real-time using the Live Tracker & Leaderboard. Details such as time, pace, position on the map, estimated finish & official results will be instantly available!

Note: the 2 Mile Walk will not be in the mobile app as it is an un-timed event.

• Top 3 Male/Female Masters (Based on Gun Time)
• Top 3 Male/Female in Age Groups (Based on Chip Time)

• 65-69
• 70-74
• 75+

The 2 Mile walk is not timed and no awards will be given out.

Download your personal digital race bib! Feel free to print it out and use on your run, walk or bike! Or take a photo and share it with us!

Ways to Download:

1. Log into your RunSignUp.com account & click on Profile > Upcoming Events > View Digital Bib > Print
2. Look up your entry here and click on your bib number on the left.

 

2. Setup your Race Profile on the RTRT Remote Racing App!

OPTION 1: We are providing you with the RTRT Remote Racing App as part of the official race experience for the Virtual Turkey Chase. You will use your mobile device to complete the virtual event! You will receive a Connect & Claim email from 'Turkey Chase Charity Race' (email from address: no-reply@rtrt.me) with detailed instructions on how to get the App and connect your race profile. Do you need to get the email resent? CLICK HERE to re-send the connect and claim email.

OPTION 2: You can alternatively download the app FIRST and then search for the Virtual Turkey Chase event and find your runner profile. There is a claim button that you can then use to verify your account. CLICK HERE to download the app.

Did you register multiple people using the same email address?  Please download the app first on each device and then follow the OPTION 2 instructions above.

SWIMMERS- since you cannot swim with the app you can record your time and use the 'Self Report' option after selecting the 'import' button on your profile in the app.

Are you running/walking on a treadmill? You will have the option to manually submit a finish time in the app.  You will still need to connect your race profile in the app using the above instructions.

 

3. Complete your Virtual Event Submit Your Race Photos!
