Care Net 5K Reindeer Run/Walk

The 12th Annual Care Net 5K Reindeer Run/Walk is a family-fun event open to runners and walkers of all types, so grab your family members, friends, or co-workers and join the fun!

This year we will once again offer a fundraising option to our race so that your friends and families can get involved and help support the work of Care Net Owensboro!  Race participants and non-participants who choose to raise funds for CNO will have the opportunity to earn a CNO beanie or fleece headband, a $30 registration refund, a hoodie, and a chance at other exclusive prizes!  For more fundraising fun, create a team and set the goal to be the team that raises the most for recognition in our January Newsletter! 

This race will be a timed event for the purpose of awarding winner divisions. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in Holiday attire (ugly sweaters, Santa hats, bells, fun socks, etc.) Visit with Santa, sip hot chocolate or coffee from Overflow Cafe, enjoy a nibble from Great Harvest Bread Company, and be entered into our door prize drawings!

The early-bird registration fee is $30 through 9/28/26.  Standard registration fee is $35 through 11/29/26, and then the price increases to $40. Children 13 and under will receive a $5 registration discount.

Race entry fee includes a long-sleeved race shirt if registered by 11:59 p.m. on 11-13-26 and entry for door prize drawings*. Due to our t-shirt vendor deadline, participants registering after 11-13-26 will not receive a race shirt. *Does not include Reindeer Dash registrants. 

Don’t forget about the Reindeer Dash…for children 7 and under. This one block (~100 m) dash down Veterans Blvd. is a chance for young ones to run with Santa and his reindeer to the finish line!  Dress your little one up in Christmas attire and enjoy the fun.  All little runners will receive a winner’s medal at the finish line. The Reindeer Dash has a separate entry fee and the start time is 7:30 a.m.  (Race t-shirts not included with Reindeer Dash registration but may be purchased through the Merch store!)

This event raises funds to serve the young men and women of Owensboro and the surrounding areas through Care Net Owensboro. CNO offers help, hope, and compassion to anyone who finds themselves in an unplanned pregnancy or with concerns of a sexually transmitted infection.  CNO provides pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and STI testing and treatment.  Prenatal and parenting classes and material resources are also available.  All of the services at CNO are confidential and at no cost to the client.
