Packet Pick-up:
Pre-race packet pick-up will be offered for participants on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Location: McEuen Park (420 E Front Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814) / 10:30am-6:00pm

If you are not able to pick-up your packet, someone else can pick it up for you. There will be a limited last minute bib pick-up on race morning near the start line. This race morning bib pick-up is ONLY for extenuating circumstances.

Cutoff Times:
Marathon: Runners are required to finish in 6.5 hours (before 1:00pm). If you plan to finish in over 6 hours, sign up for the Early Start option.

Marathon - Early Start: Runners are required to finish in 7.5 hours (before 1:00pm). If you plan to finish in under 5.5 hours, DO NOT sign up for the Early Start option as road crossings and aid stations will not be available at the earlier times.

As long as a runner is making reasonable progress we will most likely not pull them from the course, but they will need to follow traffic laws at that point if they are falling behind that pace.

Gear Check:
Gear check will be available for ALL runners at the start line. In an effort to reduce waste, we ask runners to please bring your own bag to put your belongings in. We will provide a tyvek hospital type wrist band to label your bag with your bib number. You will need your bib number showing when you drop off and pick-up your bag. Gear check is only available for athletes wearing bib numbers.

Runner Safety:
This event takes place on city roads and sidewalks. There will be law enforcement or flaggers to help runners cross roads, but please be alert when you are running and pay attention to course officials at all crossings. Any runner using headphones should make sure their have only one headphone in their ear, or use bone conduction headphones.

Awards:
Awards will be distributed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall for Male and Female for each distance. Age group awards will also be provided for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in age groups. Age Groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

Finish Area:

Aid Stations / Nutrition:
Aid Stations will be equipped with water and sports drink, GU gels, and gummy bear chews. Water will be provided at the starting line.

Runners are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups and bottles in an effort to reduce garbage on course. Although we will still have cups available at aid stations, we ask runners to help us reduce waste by running with their own reusable cups and bottles.

CDA Partners with Delta 3 Coaching
The Coeur d'Alene Marathon is excited to announce Delta 3 Coaching as the official training partner for our 2023 event. Delta 3 has a mission to positively impact the lives of athletes of all ages and abilities by developing their skills in the sport discipline of their choosing. To encourage all athletes to engage in competitive activities to build community, support, and set and achieve personal goals. To embrace the diversity of able-bodied, adaptive, and youth sport where athletes are encouraged to set and achieve new goals, exceed expectations, all while inspiring each other and the community at large.
In-Person Training Starts March 1
This is beginner/intermediate half marathon coached training group to prepare for the CDA Half Marathon. We will be meeting at Bluegrass Park. You should be able to run 3 miles prior to starting this program. You will meet once a week for a group coached speed training session and given a 13-week training plan written by Coach Brandy Anderson, Boston Qualifier/participant, USA Track and Field Certified Coach, Lake City H.S. Cross Country Coach.
6am and 6pm training sessions on Wednesdays (Hurry and sign-up as sessions are limited to only 25 athletes per time slot!)

Parent Info:
• BIBS - Parents please write your name and contact phone number on the back of your child's bib in the case of an emergency.
• SAFETY - This is not a closed or fenced off course. The course will be well marked and staffed with volunteers, but it is your responsibility to make sure your child makes it to the finish line. Parents are welcome to run with their kids for free and help encourage them and take pictures along the way. Please be a responsible parent and know your child's limits and capabilities. The kid's race is not 15-minutes of baby-sitting. Your child is still your responsibility. Help us to ensure this is a safe and positive experience for all our CDA Kids Fun Run participants.

The Kids Fun Run is a 1-mile looping course around McEuen Park. There will be water available at the finish line. All kids will start together at 10:00am. Parents are encouraged to run with their child.

Say Whaaat? We love our runners and we love our runners that talk about our race! We want to reward runners that get their friends and family to register. Refer 5 friends and earn a $25 refund back from your registration. Keep referring friends and run for free!

How To Start:
When you register for the race, you will get a confirmation email with a referral link in it. Share that referral link to your friends and family. Each time someone registers with that link, it will be tracked. Once 5 people register from that link, you will receive $25 back on the credit card you used to register. Don't stop there, keep referring friends and we will refund you $25 for every additional 5 friends that register.
Refund Policy

Refunds, Transfers, and Deferrals:
Distance Transfers:
A participant may transfer their registration to another distance that is not full within the same race at any time before the end of packet pick-up (i.e. 5k to 10k). If there is a price difference between the distances, the participant is responsible for the increased cost of the new registration compared to the previous amount paid for their registration. The race will not issue a full or partial refund if the participant is stepping down in registration cost (i.e. half marathon to 5k). All distance transfers can be completed from the online registration page under your profile.

Live and Virtual Transfers:
All live races will also have a virtual race option for participants choosing to participate virtually for any reason. Participants may transfer between live and virtual events if they are not full at any time before the end of packet pick-up. If there is a price difference between the virtual and live race, the participant is responsible for the increased cost of the live race compared to the previous amount paid for the registration. The race will not issue a full or partial refund if the participant already paid a higher registration fee and is stepping down in price. All event type transfers can be completed from the online registration page under your profile.

Person to Person Transfers:
Person to person transfers will be allowed at any time before the end of packet pick-up for a $10 fee. Person to person transfers are limited to the swag available at the time of the transfer. Race to Race Transfers:
Participants will be able to transfer their registration to another Negative Split produced event that is not full for a $30 fee plus any price changes to the new event. Race to race transfers are only allowed once per registration and must be used less than 365 days from the original race date. Race to race transfers are limited to the swag available at the time of the transfer. Shirt sizes are subject to quantities on hand at the time of the transfer. If there is a price difference between the two races, the participant is responsible for the increased cost of the new registration compared to the previous amount paid for the registration. The race will not issue a full or partial refund if the participant already paid a higher registration fee and is stepping down in price.

Deferrals:
Deferrals to the following year are not allowed. Participants are encouraged to either participate in a different distance, virtually, or in a different race.

Refunds:
Due to the long-term nature of planning for events and the many pre-sunk costs upfront for the race organization, refunds will not be allowed.

Live Race Results
The live race will be timed by Negative Split Event Timing with chip timing. Each participant bib will contain a timing chip stuck to the back of the bib. The timing chip will record your start and finish times based on when you cross the timing mats. Please make sure your bib number is visible and on the outermost layer of your clothing and facing forward to guarantee the best chip reads while crossing our mats. Similarly, your bib number is used for photo identification for your race photos.

Traffic Impacts
The CDA Marathon will cause changes to normal vehicle travel in the downtown area on May 25, 2025.
The highlighted sections below will be closed except for residents needing direct ingress or egress to their property during the event from 5:00am - 11:00am. Residents expecting to need ingress or egress from their property during the event are encouraged to move vehicles north of Young for easier access.

Shirts and Medals are on a first come first serve basis for those registering less than 10 days before. If you are able to select a shirt size in registration, you will get a shirt.
