Join the Conway Running Club for the 2026 CRC Firecracker Fun Run 5K & 1-Mile Kids Sparkler on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 306 Salem Rd, Conway, AR 72034!

Important Race Information:
- Pre-race announcements and the National Anthem will take place ON THE TRAIL at the starting line at 7:00 AM
- Please head directly to the START LINE after check-in (not the parking lot)
- Extra parking will be available at the Conway Fitness Center
- Participants can enjoy a quick .4-mile warm-up walk/jog to the start line on the trail from Conway Fitness Center

This race is perfect for seasoned runners, walkers, families, kids, and anyone looking to kick off Independence Day celebrations with an active and FUN community event!

ADDITIONAL INFO:

1) This is a fun run. It is not a timed event. We will, however, have refreshments and awards for those that register for the event on RunSignUp. All participants will receive a finisher award.

(Please note: we will not ship. You will have to pick up at a date/location TBD.) The first male and first female "winners" of the 5k will also receive FREE swag.

1) We will have a wave start with the 5k starting at 7:30 am and the 1-mile 7:15 am. Please arrive early enough to check-in for the event (we will be giving you a wristband to denote which race you are running).

2) This is an OPEN course. The 1-mile course will be on the trail with a turnaround point halfway. We ask that you please try to run on the right side of the trail as to not impede those who are returning to the finish. While the majority of the 5k is along the trail, there is a small portion that goes into a neighborhood. It is your responsibility to obey all traffic laws and be aware of your surroundings. Please run opposing vehicular traffic whenever possible.

3) We are anticipating a nice turn out for this event, and we are excited! We hope you can make it and meet other runners/walkers!

4) While we love our four-legged friends, we ask that you abstain from bringing them to this event in case there are runners who are wary of dogs.

5) Strollers and dogs will be allowed, but we ask that you start at the back of the pack!

6) WARNING: There are limited bathrooms at the start/finish line of this event. There are bathrooms at the Fitness Center, which you will need to ask permission to use, and there are also bathrooms across the street at the McDonald's.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN

We will have the run as planned if it rains, but we will postpone the race for 30 minutes in case of lightning. If after 30 minutes the lightning has not subsided, we will have to cancel the event (but we will still pass out the medals to everyone who registered). There is a possibility that a large rainstorm prior to the event could block off access to the northern part of the trail (under the Prince Street bridge). In that case, we will have the 5k runners use the 1-mile turn around to make 3 down and back loops.
