About Cures for the Colors Glow Run
Every step, a move of hope! Cures for the Colors Glow Run supporting those battling cancer.
The 2026 Cures for the Colors Glow Run will be held on November 7, 2026. There will be a timed and untimed 5K option, as well as an untimed 1-mile fun run and a virtual event option for people that can't make it the day of the race. The 1- mile fun run starts at 5:30pm and the 5K starts at 6:15pm. Registration will open the afternoon of the race at 4:15pm.

To guarantee a t-shirt, you must register by 10/2/26.
All proceeds will be used to give people battling cancer in Eastern North Carolina a little extra help today while they fight for their tomorrow.
The top 3 female finishers, the top 3 male finishers, and the top 3 finishers under 18 will receive a race metal. The awards ceremony will be held after all participants have completed the race.
Virtual participants will run at a course of your choosing, including on a treadmill. Virtual participants can run (or walk) anytime anywhere on November 7, 2026. The virtual run will not be officially timed, but by using the RaceJoy app, you can receive a GPS-based time which will automatically submit your time for you. There will be an online leaderboard showing everyone's times. Virtual participates will receive a certificate and event t-shirt.

This year, we will be offering a virtual run in addition to the normal in-person event.
How it Works
Sign up here (use the Sign Up button at the top of the page).
Print out your digital bib (from your Runsignup profile page) if you'd like.
Download the RaceJoy app for the best race experience.
Run your race at a place of your choosing (including a treadmill) before the deadline. If you use RaceJoy, it will automatically submit your results. If not, go to the results page and submit your time.

A virtual race is an event where you sign up and participate on a course of your choosing (or a treadmill). This is a great opportunity to work towards your running goals, stay healthy, and support a great cause!
The event will feature a leaderboard so you can still see how you stack up against your fellow competitors!
