Danville Half Marathon, Presented by URW Community Federal Credit Union

The 2025 Danville Half Marathon, presented by URW Community Federal Credit Union, features a new course that begins at 215 Main St., Danville, VA 24541. This is an out and back course starting and finishing on MLK Bridge. The mostly flat course will run along the beautiful paved Riverwalk Trail by the Dan River. THIS IS A CHIP TIMED RACE. ALL AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN BASED ON GUN TIME. Course time limit will be 3.5 hours (16:00 minute mile pace). Timing will be conducted by Blue Ridge Timing, Lynchburg, Virginia. Register by 6:00pm Oct.4th. to guarantee your shirt & size. Some additional shirts will ordered. There is no day-of-race registration.

The Course

This is an out and back course starting and finishing on MLK Bridge. The mostly flat course will run along the beautiful Riverwalk Trail by the Dan River. The course is paved, but has a 100 yd. unpaved trail section.

Registration & Packet Pickup

Online registration closes at 6 p.m., the day before the race.  There is no day-of-race registration.

Early packet pickup and late registration is Friday, Oct. 11th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Brick Running & Tri Store, 410-A Main St., Danville, VA.

Race day packet pickup is at the start area, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

What's Included

All race registrants that sign up by 12:00 noon Sept. 27  are guaranteed a high quality short sleeve technical running shirt in their size. There will be some additional shirts ordered, but no guarantee of size. All finishers will receive a beautiful finishers medal.

Water will be provided at approximately every 2 to 3 miles and GU will be available.
