To celebrate our National Holiday - National Yucatan Shrimp Day - we invite you to join our 2nd Annual 7K!
Why a 7K? Doc Ford's iconic Yucatan Shrimp recipe features seven key ingredients: Shrimp, Butter, Lime Juice, Garlic, Cilantro, Sambal, and Salt/Pepper.
To celebrate this delicious dish, we're taking those seven ingredients to the streets with a fun, flavorful 7K race!
Race Day Perks at Doc Ford’s:
- We’re opening early at 10 AM so you can fuel up, hang out, and celebrate after the run!

Because our famous Yucatan Shrimp—hailed by The New York Times as “a vacation on a plate”—is crafted with seven key ingredients: shrimp, butter, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, Sambal, and salt/pepper. Now, we’re taking it from plate to pavement in a race that celebrates this iconic dish!

Timing and Awards
Our event will be timed again by our Cape Coral neighbors - Linda and Mark Toretsky of Lin-Mark Sports - entrants will be able to signup for text results during the entry process and Lin-Mark will post results live as they happen on race day. Lin-Mark will also post a video of each runner/walker finishing in the afternoon on May 23rd.
