Dragons in the Woods

Dragons In The Woods is in its 12th season!  We are excited to be back in 2025! The race will again be run on the majestic trails of Birchfield Park, in Holt. This challenging trail run is great for the seasoned runner or for families who want to walk/run together. All proceeds from the race benefit Island City Academy, a charter school in Eaton Rapids. Come out and join us Saturday, October 18th and compete for your chance to win one of four, awesome trophies!

Pricing - $25 until 10/05, then $30 until 10/17. Be sure to register early for a great discount and to be guaranteed a race shirt! T-shirts are guaranteed until 10/09, supplies available as they last after that date. 

Group/Family pricing available - Sign up to 4 participants for only $85 until 10/05. Price increases to $95 from 10/06 until 10/17.

Awards for the Overall and Masters (40 and up), male and female. Pint glasses to the top three male and female in each age group.
Age groups: 12 and under, 13-16, 17-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61 and over.

Packet Pick-up will begin at 8:00 am day of the race

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and live on this website.

If you would like to support our school and get a free entry to the race donate $50. When you register for the race your entry will be free! Simply Sign Up and follow the steps to register and on the donation screen enter $50. ($25 discount applied during checkout. Valid until October 5th, and then it's $25 off your entry fee of $30) Donate $25 and you'll receive a $10 discount off your 5k race entry fee.
