Drug Demand Reduction 5K

Welcome to the 4th annual Drug Demand Reduction 5K - hosted by Greater Cleveland Young Marines. We are thrilled to bring this event back as a means to run drugs out of our communities and hope you consider supporting us in this event!

Race Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026

Distance: 5K Run or 1 Mile Walk (B-Tag Chip Timed)

Location: Greater Cleveland Young Marines Drill Center - 5575 W 220th St. Fairview Park, OH 44126

Race Morning Pickup: Saturday, October 10 - 8:00 am - 8:50 am (at the YM Drill Center)

5K & 1 Mile Start Time: 9:00 am

Trunk or Treat: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Stick around after the Drug Demand Reduction Dash for our Trunk or Treat celebration — a family-friendly event designed to bring the community together! Local businesses, families, and organizations will decorate their trunks and hand out candy in a safe and fun environment. Whether you're running the race or just coming for the treats, everyone is welcome to enjoy this free community event.

Fees: $25 (adults) $20 (youth 14 and under)

•  $5 surcharge for race morning registration

• Families of 4 or more receive $10 off when registering all members at once - this must be done before race morning. 

• If paying by cash or check, please print the paper entry form at the bottom of the site and mail it with payment to Hermes Sports (2425 W. 11th St. Suite 2 Cleveland, OH 44113). Payment must be received by Wednesday, October 7.

What's Included: B-tag chip timed 5K road race, 1 Mile novelty race bib, a custom finisher medal, a cotton t-shirt (subject to availability if registered after 9/15), post-race refreshments, award categories, and an opportunity to support the Greater Cleveland Young Marines in their initiative to run drugs out of our community!

5K Award Categories:

• Top 3 overall male/female finishers

• Top 3 male/female finishers in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
