Forbidden Drive at the intersection of Thomas Road and W. Northwestern Avenue, Parking Lot #3

 

AWARDS
1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female and 1st place in each age bracket.

 

ENTRY FEES
Early Bird Adult registration fee for the 5-mile Run (in-person and virtual) until 9/1/2026 is $40.00, plus service fee. Regular Adult registration fee for for the 5-mile Run (in-person and virtual) 9/2/2026 through 11/19/2026 is $45.00 plus service fee. 

Early Bird Adult registration fee for the 1-mile Fun Run (in-person and virtual) until 9/1/2026 is $25.00, plus service fee. Regular registration fee for for the 1-mile Fun Run (in-person and virtual) 9/2/2026 through 11/19/2026 is $30.00 plus service fee. 

Registration fee for Children ages 4 -12 is $20.00, plus a service fee, for both events.

Children 3 and under are free. 

Adult Registration for the 5-mile Run after 11/20/2026 at 12:01 am will be $55.00, plus service fee.  

Adult Registration for the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk after 11/20/2026 at 12:01 am will be $40.00, plus service fee.

 

Registration fee includes: bib, race shirt, refreshments, water stations, and prizes.  Registration deadline to guarantee shirt sizing is 11/1/2026.  After the November 1st deadline, there are no shirt/size guarantees.  Please plan to register early. 

All materials for both in-person and virtual registrants must be picked up during designated packet pick-up times or contact lisab@facetofacegermantown.org to make other arrangements.  There are no shirt guarantees after 8:00 am on race morning.  No shipping available.

 

DAY OF RACE
*Same day race registration will be from 7:00 am - 8:30 am at *Chestnut Hill College, Fournier Hall, 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118.   

*Pre-registered packet pick-up is from 7:00 - 8:30 am at Chestnut Hill College, Fournier Hall.

Expect a crowd and arrive early.  Allow time to park and walk to the start line.  Please note that it is a 10 minute walk from the College to the Turkey Trot start line.

Participant race timing cannot be guaranteed after 8:30 am. 

Race Start is 9:00 AM.  

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk starts immediately after 5-Mile Run begins.

*Tuesday, November 24th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at *Face to Face, 123 East Price Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144.

*Wednesday, November 25th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at, *Chestnut Hill College, Fournier Hall, 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118.

*Thursday, November 26th (same day packet pick-up) from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at, *Chestnut Hill College, Fournier Hall.

Enjoy refreshments, music, water stations, race shirt, and prizes.

Race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Company.  Results can be found here on this website or at http://www.brynmawrracing.com.

 

RACE SHIRTS

Race shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before November 1, 2026.  Race shirts must be picked up during designated packet pick up times or please contact lisab@facetofacegermantown.org to make other arrangements.  

Availability and shirt sizing cannot be guaranteed after 8:00 am race morning for all participants (including pre-registered participants).

 

PARKING

Free Parking will be available at the Chestnut Hill College with overflow at Sugarloaf at Chestnut Hill College.    Allow time to walk to the starting line.  It is approximately a 10 minute walk from Chestnut Hill College and a 15-20 minute walk from Sugarloaf to the trailhead.  Sugarloaf is located at 9220 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118.

CAN I HAVE MY MONEY REFUNDED?
No, but you may defer to the following year by logging into your account on www.runsignup.com. You must do so by November 18th.  How to defer a registration.

CAN I CHANGE THE EVENT I AM REGISTERED FOR (CHANGE FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL OR VICE VERSA)? 
How to transfer to another event.  You may switch your registration from in-person to virtual or vice versa by November 22nd.  If you upgrade to an event that costs more, you will pay the difference; for example, switching your registration from a virtual 5-mile run to an in-person run.  If you switch to an event that costs less, the difference will not be refunded but treated as a generous donation to Face to Face.

DO I NEED TO REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TURKEY TROT?  
Yes. We require all participants to register through www.runsignup.com and complete the necessary waivers prior to the Turkey Trot. Registered participants are required to wear their race bibs throughout the event. This ensures that you have access to the entry corrals, finisher’s medals, refreshments, water, and race shirts. Also, in the interest of safety, the race bib can be used to identify participants in case of an emergency.

CAN I CHANGE MY SHIRT SIZE?  
Race shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before November 1, 2025. We base our ordering on the size you select. You may update your shirt size until November 1st.  Update race shirt/giveaway.  Availability and shirt sizing cannot be guaranteed after November 1st.

RACE DAY

WHAT IS THE RACE DAY SCHEDULE?  
Same day registration will be from 7:00 am - 8:30 am at Chestnut Hill College, Fournier Hall.  Expect a crowd and arrive early. Participant race timing cannot be guaranteed after 8:30 am. The 5-mile Run starts at 9 am. The 1-mile Fun Run/Walk starts immediately after 5 Mile Run/Walk begins.  Allow time to walk to the starting line.  It is an approximately 10 minute walk from Chestnut Hill College.  There are no shuttles.

There are porta potties at the race start line on Forbidden Drive, W. Northwestern Avenue.  
  
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR WEATHER?  
This a rain or shine event.  Temperatures in November range from -15 to 60.  We suggest being prepared for rain, snow, slush, or shine.  
  
CAN I RUN WITH A JOGGING STROLLER?
Yes.  We are a family friendly event.  We follow the rules of Fairmount Park- strollers are allowed.  We ask that you be mindful that we have over 1,500+ participants. 

CAN I RUN WITH MY FURRY FRIEND?
Yes.  We are a pet friendly event.  We follow the rules of Fairmount Park- leashed animals are allowed.  We ask that you be mindful that we have over 2000 participants. 

CAN I RUN WITH AN IPOD OR OTHER DEVICE?  
Music devices and earbuds/earphones are permitted but discouraged.  For your safety and the safety of those around you, it is recommended that you leave the music at home on race day.  
  
WILL THERE BE A WAY TO STORE MY CLOTHING AT THE RACE?  
No, we are unable to provide storage. Face to Face is not responsible for any lost clothing or items.  
  
WHAT AWARDS AND PRIZES ARE THERE AND WHAT TIME ARE THEY GIVEN?  
Each participant will receive a race shirt, bib, and medal. 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female and 1st place in each age bracket will receive an additional award.  There are fundraising rewards for those who have raised certain donation amounts. 
  
WHERE CAN I PARK?  
Parking is available at Chestnut Hill College, 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118.  There is limited street parking on Germantown Pike.  Allow time to walk to the starting line.  It is an approximately 10 minute walk from Chestnut Hill College.  Please see map of Chestnut Hill College Parking Lots.
  
IF THE RACE IS CANCELLED, HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED?
Turkey Trot is a rain or shine event. If the event is cancelled, Face to Face will make every effort to notify all participants via the e-mail address provided during registration. Due to reasons beyond the control of Face to Face, the event may be cancelled due to inclement weather, unforeseen circumstances, or any other reasons.
