💲 Entry Fees

5K Pizza Run: $30 through October 12; $35 thereafter; $25 for USATF-NJ members
1-Mile Family Fun Run: $10 flat rate

T-shirts are guaranteed for all participants who register by October 3. After that date, shirts will be distributed based on availability.

The annual Fanwood 5K Race & Family Fun Run will be held on Sunday morning, October 19th, 2025. This event is sponsored by the Fanwood Recreation Commission, a group of dedicated volunteers who strive to improve and expand recreational opportunities within the Fanwood community.

This will be our 13th year hosting the event. Last year over 300 hundred runners participated in the 5K Race and over 300 children and parents in the Family Fun Run. Residents lined the streets to cheer on the runners. The Race’s success was not only defined by its participants, but also by the volunteers and sponsors who helped support the event. We look to continue that success this year with your help. And in keeping with this year’s theme, we’re giving away free pizza to all participants!

The Fanwood Recreation Commission invites you to join it in this, its latest effort—become a sponsor of the Fanwood 5K Race & Family Fun Run by making a monetary donation. As a sponsor, you can also help promote your business by hosting a table (for Silver-level sponsors and above) or leaving printed material about your business in the check-in area.

Your sponsorship will help the Fanwood Recreation Commission defray the cost of hosting this event and allow the Commission to continue its work on behalf of the people of Fanwood, including:

•             The purchase of new playground equipment for Fanwood’s parks
•             The expansion of recreation programming for our senior community
•             The building of new recreational facilities
•             The expansion of recreation programming for our children

Sponsors will have the opportunity to showcase their names on various promotional materials related to the race, as well as set up a table or booth (for Silver-level sponsors and above) or leave printed material about their business at the race check-in area to promote their services.
