About Fineview Step Challenge
Fineview Citizens Council is hosting its 31st Annual Urban Step & Trail Challenge on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Participants will ascend Fineview’s hills, streets, and staircases. Among the steps are Pittsburgh’s STEEPEST stair set (371 steps) on Rising Main Avenue, which is the equivalent of a 17-story building!
The course covers 12 public staircases for a total of over 1,600 steps and provides breathtaking views along the way. All proceeds from the event will benefit our programming related to community beautification, preserving affordability, and events.

The Fineview Step Challenge is the Fineview Citizens Council's largest annual fundraiser. We are seeking sponsorship donations to benefit our programming related to beautification, affordable housing, youth development, and community outreach. This event reaches a wide audience, which showcases your commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, local community, and the revitalization efforts of the Northside.
GROUP REGISTRATION PRICING
Participants can register in Groups of 4-8 and each Group member will receive $5 off the current individual registration price.
This is FOR THE 5-MILE ONLY. See details below.
- Groups may be a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8 people.
- 1 Group Captain will register all individuals within the Group and be responsible for the group payment.
- Other members will pay the Group Captain who registered the group offline.
- The Group Captain registering the Group will need ALL GROUP MEMBERS' information at the time of registration.
