Join us for the 2026 FIREHOUSE 5K, a spirited community event in Oconee, IL, designed to support our dedicated volunteer fire department. This exciting race takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM. Whether you're an avid runner, a casual jogger, or a walker, this event welcomes participants of all fitness levels.

The race winds through the charming streets of Oconee, offering a scenic route that showcases the beauty of our town. Along the way, you'll be cheered on by friendly faces and enthusiastic supporters. 

All proceeds from the FIREHOUSE 5K will directly benefit the Oconee Volunteer Fire Department, helping to fund essential equipment, training, and resources needed to keep our community safe.

Bring your family and friends, and enjoy a morning of fitness, fun, and community spirit. Let's run together to support our local heroes!

**Registration Information:**

- Early Bird Registration: $30 (until July 31st)
- Regular Registration: $35 (August 1st to October 5th)
- Oct 6th to Race Day Registration: $40

- Race Bib
- Event T-shirt (guaranteed if registered by October 5th)
- Finisher's Medal
- Refreshments and snacks post-race

**Awards:**

Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in various age categories. Additionally, there will be a special award for the best "Firehouse Spirit" costume, so feel free to get creative and show your support for our fire department!
