Fishers YMCA Wishbone 5K / The Tradition Continues

The Wishbone 5K Run/Walk is an annual Thanksgiving event for the entire community. This year we’re celebrating 16 years of families coming together for a morning of fitness and fun.

Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome along the route but, in the interest of safety, we ask that these participants start near the back of their corrals.

Why Participate?

The Wishbone 5K is the Fishers YMCA’s signature event for the Annual Campaign, which helps to subsidize memberships, programs, summer camp and before/after school care. Since the race began in 2011, nearly $650,000 has been raised to ensure that no one is sent away from the YMCA due to the inability to pay. More than 15,000 participants have grown the Wishbone 5K into the premier Thanksgiving run in our community.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Your participation in this annual Fishers tradition allows us to grow the reach of the Fishers YMCA  Annual Giving. Your support will help the Y respond to current crucial needs of families from our community and ensure the Y continues to be strong as we emerge better together.

More than one in every four members and one in every five program participants receive financial assistance. Providing Y for All means that we can assist more than 7,000 local families each year. The YMCA is for everyone, but we need your help to make that possible!

VIRTUAL RACE OPTION

Wishbone 5K 

The "live" Wishbone 5K. This option is for those who want to run the 5K in person at the Fishers YMCA on Thanksgiving morning.

**In the event that we move the race to fully virtual, in-person participants will automatically become virtual participants, NO REFUNDS**

Out of state, want to sleep in, or prefer to run whenever you want? You have the option to run a Wishbone 5K "virtually" on a course of your choosing.

Awards

Top 3 Overall, Male and Female Winners along with the Top 3 Masters (40+) Male and Female Winners and Age-Group Awards in 10-year increments (9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up) both Male and Female.

Thursday (Race Day), 6:30-7AM
