Gateway Gallop 5k

The Gateway Gallop is a community event that raises funds to support west side trails. Proceeds benefit the B&O Trail Association and the White Lick Creek and Vandalia Trail Alliance, helping advance trail development and maintenance across our community.

Each year, we are proud to be fueled by The Breakfast Company, who generously provides breakfast for race day. The pancakes are cooked and served hot by the amazing Wayne Township Fire Department, a race-day tradition our participants look forward to every year.

Come run, walk, or stroll, enjoy great pancakes, and support local trails while making a lasting impact in our community.

This years course will again take off from the front of Ben Davis High School. We altered the starting/finish line to accommodate the construction, but the set up will be great as always. Our course will be marked with cones, and H-Stake course signs. We also have officers along Girl School Rd to help with the crossing.

• Event Management Team will Follow all local guidelines from the Mayors office and the CDC.
• Hand Sanitizer Available throughout the event venue
• Social Distancing Required throughout event
• COVID-19 Self Screen Required by Participants (see Self Screen tab on Website)
• Masks required at all times except when running/walking on the course
• Longer start time allowing for maximum social distancing
• Separate Start/Finish Lines when necessary based on start time length, and course needs
• No aid stations on course
• These adjustments can adjust and change as COVID-19 requirements and recommendations will continue change. Please check back regularly, and especially as the event nears.

  COVID-19 infection?
• Are you ill or is someone you are caring for ill? 

If you have one or more symptoms listed above, or answered yes to any of the above questions please stay home, and take care of yourself. You can reach out to us to arrange packet shipping or to set up picking up your packet at a later date. Thanks for doing your part to keep us all safe!
