Get That Baby! 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run Fundraiser

This is a fundraising event for the Saunders family supporting the adoption process.

We are the Saunders family! We are located in Blandon, Pennsylvania. My wife, Kayla, and myself, Jimmy, have been married for six years, and we have two beautiful children, James and Kelsy. However, ever since we started dating, we both talked about how the option for adoption would be on our mind after we were done having children naturally.

Kayla was adopted as an adult by a wonderful family. As Christians, we feel like adoption is one of the most beautiful and powerful ways to show love and the light of Christ, just like how we were adopted into God's family with Jesus’ sacrifice.

Unfortunately, the cost of adoption can be a huge hurdle that prevents many families from adopting children and children from finding their forever home. we’ve been extremely blessed over the past year with all types of support. We have matched with a birth mom who has a due date of September 2. Myself and Kayla are very much into running so we thought this would be a great way to connect with those who supported us, have a fun event, as well as support our adoption journey. 

The different race options include a 5K run, a 1 mile fun run or walk, and a 2 mile ruck. It will be timed. All participants in the 5K and 2 mile ruck receive a unique T-shirt and a medal! All others receive a medal only.  Afterwards, there is a spaghetti dinner event at Hope.
