The 7th Annual Gilda’s Race for Hope Color Run is hitting the streets on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and we want YOU to be part of the movement! Whether you sprint, stroll, jog, or go solo around your neighborhood, this vibrant event is all about showing up for the cancer community with heart, hope, and a splash of color.

Join families, friends, teams, and coworkers as we unite in Broward County to honor those impacted by cancer. Every step you take helps bring light, love, and lasting support to cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and loved ones to prove that community is stronger than cancer. 

Proceeds from the Race for Hope fuel Gilda’s Club South Florida’s mission to provide FREE social and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer. This race isn’t just a run, it’s a celebration of resilience, a tribute to community, and a rally for hope.

EVENT DETAILS:

Location: Nova Southeastern University, 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd., Davie, FL 33314 
Registration Begins: 7:30 a.m.
Runners Start: 8:30 a.m.
Walkers Start: 8:35 a.m.

• Gilda's Race for Hope signature t-shirt (once the individual registrant fundraises or donates $25 or more on their race page)

• Runners ONLY: Racing bib with chip timing for 5K participants and a finisher medal. Winners of their age categories will receive a special medal for the 5K.

1. Sign Up as a Fundraiser
   Register as a fundraiser and start your own team! When you raise over $100 in donations, you will receive: one (1) complimentary registration for 1 person for the walk/race, a participation medal, a swag bag full of goodies, and a signature Gilda’s Race for Hope t-shirt. 
2. Start Fundraising & Spreading the Word
   Once you're registered, it's time to spread the word! Use this Resource Guide for tools, tips, and samples of emails you can use to help spread the word about your fundraising efforts. Every dollar you raise helps ensure no one faces cancer alone.
3. Get Exclusive Perks
   Enjoy exclusive updates, special recognition opportunities, and inspiring stories from survivors, caregivers, and fellow fundraisers in our community.
4. Share Your Page, Share Your Purpose
   Share your personal fundraising page with family, friends, coworkers, and social networks to invite them to be part of something bigger, which will help people feel stronger, supported, and seen during one of the hardest times of their lives.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE & MAKE AN IMPACT

1. Sign Up for Gilda's Race for Hope
   Register as an individual or register as a TEAM! Early Bird Registration: $35: Includes a participation medal and a swag bag full of goodies. Get a signature Gilda’s Race for Hope t-shirt with a $25 donation or fundraising on your individual page
2. Start Fundraising & Spreading the Word
   Once you're registered, it's time to spread the word! Set up your personal fundraising page, share your story, and sync it with social media to make giving easy. Every dollar you raise helps ensure no one faces cancer alone.
3. Get Exclusive Perks
   Enjoy exclusive updates, special recognition opportunities, and inspiring stories from survivors, caregivers, and fellow fundraisers in our community.
4. Aim High and Fundraise for Hope
   We challenge every participant to raise at least $250. But don’t stop there! Every additional dollar goes directly toward providing FREE support groups, resources, and hope to those impacted by cancer.
5. Share Your Page, Share Your Purpose
   Share your personal fundraising page with family, friends, coworkers, and social networks to invite them to be part of something bigger and help people feel stronger, supported, and seen during one of the hardest times of their lives.

Gilda's Race for Hope's Color Run makes a huge impact thanks to our collective fundraising power. The biggest way you can help is by starting a team. You can provide hope to those who need it most and fundraise in support of FREE cancer programs and services for anyone impacted by cancer including families and friends. Starting your team means you can recruit your teammates, set up a fundraising goal, and organize fundraising activities. But where to start?

Just Follow These Steps:

1. Sign-up Yourself and Start Your Team - Give your team a fun name!
2. Recruit Your Team - invite friends, family, and coworkers to join in. Send emails, post on social media. Remember that the bigger the team, the more fundraising you can do, and the bigger the impact you can make.
3. Set A Fundraising Goal - make a plan with your team, and strategize fun ways to reach your goals
4. Raise Money - all you have to do is ask simply by sending an email, spreading the word on social media, and starting a Facebook fundraiser
5. Celebrate in October - Celebrate all your hard work while remembering the powerful impact your team is having by creating a Community of Hope
