About Girls on the Run Central Ohio Spring 5K
Join us to celebrate our Girls on the Run program!
Our 5K event is unlike any other, as it is a non-competitive celebration of the girls' achievements ⭐️ Girls on the Run promotes healthy habits and lifelong confidence. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Join us at our 5K to support, cheer on, and cross the finish line alongside GOTR girls as they accomplish their goals!
Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.
** If you are a current participant or coach of the Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole program, you do not need to register for the 5K. Your program registration and volunteer service includes your entry into the 5K.
**If you are a GOTR/Heart & Sole alumna, meaning you have participated in the program in the past, you can email gotrcoed@gmail.com to receive a 50% discount code for one entry. Please note that verification of your previous participation in Girls on the Run/Girls on Track/Heart & Sole will be done before a discount code is provided.

To help ensure a smooth and joyful race morning for all of our Girls on the Run families, we strongly encourage participants to pick up their race packets on Friday or Saturday. Can't make it? No problem! A friend or family member can pick up your packet for you!!
Race day packet pick-up on Sunday, May 17 will be very limited, and t-shirts cannot be guaranteed for those picking up on race morning.
Planning ahead helps us reduce lines, avoid delays, and keep race morning focused on celebrating confidence, accomplishment, and community.

Race Day Activities

8:00 AM – Pre-5K Activities & Race Day Registration
Kick off race day with pre-race activities, on-site registration, packet pick-up, and delicious food trucks!
9:00 AM – Kiddie "Spark" Dash (Ages 7 & Under)
Future runners, get ready! 🌟 Meet at the Columbus Carousel (look for the balloons), where volunteers will escort our junior runners to the starting line for a fun, fast dash to the finish! 👉 No registration required.
9:30 AM – 5K Start!
Walk, roll, push, run, or skip—move at your happy pace and enjoy the scenic route through downtown Columbus! All participants will receive a medal at the finish line.
👕 Get Your GOTR Theme Gear at the "Pop-Up" Shop!
Show your spirit! Shop for GOTR gear on race day—great styles for the whole family!

Race Route
Race participants will Experience the 5K race route through downtown Columbus, starting and finishing at Columbus Commons. Enjoy scenic views of the Scioto River, pass by the renowned COSI, and take in the energy of downtown as you race through the heart of the city!
Parking at Columbus Commons
Parking for the event is available at the Columbus Commons Garages. The Main Garage is located at 55 East Rich Street, with entrances on Main and Rich Streets between High and Third Streets. All 5k route roads will be closed on Saturday. The Rich Street entrance will not be accessible. Please use the Main Street (one way eastbound) entrance at 54 E. Main Street to access the Main Garage. The Underground Garage is located at 191 South Third Street, with an entrance off of Third Street, between State and Rich Streets.
