Havasu Half Marathon & 5K

Join us for the 6th Annual Havasu Half Marathon and 5K!

Whether you're aiming for a personal best or participating for fun, the Havasu Half Marathon and 5K is an event you won't want to miss. This is a charity event raising money for the local Boys & Girls Club of the Colorado River. Enjoy picturesque views of Lake Havasu and the surrounding desert landscape. Lace up your shoes and get ready to run like you mean it.

Why run in Lake Havasu City in March? March offers ideal running conditions in Lake Havasu City, with average daily high temperatures in the 70's. The skies are predominantly clear, providing ample sunshine to energize your run.

Everyone who registers and completes the course will receive a finisher medal & a race t-shirt!

The Holiday Inn Express is adjacent to the London Bridge off of Highway 95 and London Bridge Road across from In & Out and walking distance to the start/finish line. Non Smoking and no pets please.

If you stay here, you will run right by your room twice on the race course, hopefully you are able to resist the urge to stop and take a nap. We expect this hotel to sell out and recommend you reserve your room early.

The London Bridge Resort is a short walk to the start/finish line and the course actually does a loop around the hotel (don’t get any ideas about stopping at that point).

The Nautical Beachfront Resort

The Nautical Beachfront Resort is Lake Havasu’s only beachfront resort and features the only private boat launch ramp in the region, making it a perfect choice for runners who want to unwind by the water before or after race day. Refund Policy

• Producing these events involves significant upfront costs, including expenses for bibs, shirts, food, permits, insurance, rentals, and more. Unfortunately, these costs are non-refundable, which means we are unable to offer refunds.
• We highly recommend purchasing travel or race insurance in case you are unable to attend. During registration, you can add race insurance for a small additional fee.

• If you have purchased insurance and need to cancel you event registration, please go to https://requestmyrefund.com/regshield/refund to file a claim. Insurance is handled by a third party and the event management team is not able to file your claim for you or impact the decision on your claim.

   

Deferral Policy

• If you’re unable to participate in the event, you have the option to defer your race registration for a $5 fee. Deferrals must be made no later than one month prior to the event.

• Half Marathon- You will run over AND under the London Bridge! This course is USATF Certified. It begins at 6:30am and has a 4.5 hour time limit.
  
  

• Lighthouse Challenge (Half & 5K Same Day)- Do both races back to back. You'll get a bonus medal for doing both events! The half begins at 6:30am and the 5K begins at 9:30am. Do them both and get the bonus Lighthouse Medal. You must start the 5K by 9:35am which means you need to finish the half marathon in less than 3 hours and 5 minutes. If you need more time, you can complete the 5K as a virtual run on another day on your own but our course will begin to close down in a rolling fashion, following the last participant who leaves the start line at 9:35 AM. Anyone who starts late might not have course support and the markers telling you what mile you are at and where to turn may have been removed by the time you reach them. Participants who start late may also have to move over to the sidewalk if streets have begun to be reopened.

   

• 5K- This event is walker friendly. It begins at 9:30am and has a 90 minute time limit.
  
  

• Doggie Dash 3K Presented by Thompson Family Plumbing- Fido can join the event too! One entry includes one human and one dog. This race starts at 6:00pm. Bring your dog and join us for a fun 3K run/walk on the island that will start and end adjacent to the dog park at London Bridge Beach. Plenty of water bowls will be provided for any parched pooch. Dog medals will be awarded as you cross the finish line and head to the finish line party full of dog friendly vendors. Human and canine specific treats and beverages will be plentiful. Don't have a pooch? That is ok too, dog lovers are welcome sans their 4 legged friends.
  
  

• Virtual Lighthouse Challenge (Half & 5K)- 16.3 miles gets you some special bling. You do not need to complete the entire event in one attempt, you can combine several runs or walks to get to the total. You will receive three medals in this category.
  
  

• Virtual Half Marathon- You do not need to complete the entire event in one attempt, you can combine several runs or walks to get to the total. You have a month long window to complete your distance.
  
  

• Virtual 5K- Join in on the fun from afar! You have a month long window to complete your distance.
